1. While I can forgive the guy naming it after his grandpa
Henry from New York ,   Under the Tuscan Sun   (09.04.12)
I refuse to believe that the man's education could be so poor that he doesn't know about Adolf Hitler. That calls into question the entire story he is giving and makes me wonder if the name wasn't picked for shock value.
2. Well ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.04.12)
... if the history is unknown to the Indian population, it is probably time to revisit the education protocols in India. Depraved and disgusting. Please pay attention, American universities, before granting admission to this despicable lot.
3. This is what the world has come to...
Aaron W ,   Israelistan   (09.04.12)
I'm against government intervention in private business. This company did nothing illegal and it's their right to name their store whatever they want. I hate the people in this country who feel so entitled by being Jewish that everyone else around them has to accomodate them.
4. Israel cannot and must not dictate to India
zionist forever   (09.04.12)
Naming a shop Hitler may be in bad taste but the shop is in India not Israel. Its not only in India but its a privately owned business not an Indian state owned one. We do not and must not have the right to demand other countries ban things we consider inapropriate. Also works both ways because if we are allowed to do that other countries are allowed to demand Israel change things in Israel other countries find inapropriate.
5. The Swastika is the Hindu symbol for love
Sarah B   (09.04.12)
so I hope the Israeli embassy staff moved carefully over this issue. But , to be fair the owner has said he will change the name if he can have financial help changing the sign. So if someone wants to put their money where their mouth is. Meanwhile I see a Christian Church has been vandalised in Israel by settler scum. I'll give the Israeli authorities 2 hours to arrest them before posting the picture on American christian websites.
6. You have to put some context to this
Sara B   (09.04.12)
In India it is perfectly legitimate to read Mein Kampf and use Hitler as a role model as a businessman. The issue over Hitler and Nazi ideology in India runs much deeper than a person naming a shop after Adolf. YNet neeeds to run a deeper background story on the issue, Israelis will be stunned at the attitude to Hitler in Asia. PS #2 is not me
7. I am Indian and also Jewish btw Indians are of Aryan origin
Esther ,   Israel   (09.04.12)
the native Indians are dravidians who were ran over by the Aryans who are the present Indians BUT WHEN HITLER CAME TO INDIANS namely Subhash Chandra Bose to help him in his conquest HITLER WAS TURNED DOWN and FYI HOLOCAUST WAS NOT TOUCHED UPON IN INDIAN education or curriculum therefore if u find them ignorant forgive them becoz they will when u are ignorant of what goes on in India .
8. Nothing wrong in naming a shop after a historial figure
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (09.04.12)
Those who don't like it, might as well get used to it..I would have named my shop on behalf of some very interesting historical figures IF i had the chance...i don't see what the fuss is all about..
9. #8 Peter
Eli ,   Jerusalem   (09.04.12)
Gee, Peter, you sound as ignorant as the Indian fellow but in your case you have no excuse.. Don't you think that your people have caused enough trouble already. If the murder of 6 million Jews plus another 4 million non Jews doesn't mean anything to you maybe someone should wipe out your entire family and see if it changes your mind.
10. Agree with #8 - Nothing wrong with the store's name
PakuWaku   (09.04.12)
You don't have to shop there if you don't approve. You don't have to visit it if you travel to India. You can't do anything about it because its not state-funded, government-sanctioned, or politically motivated in any way, shape or form. You can call it bad taste but like all taste, its subjective. Basically, you're out of luck, you've got nothing to complain about. It does seem like a pretty decent store though. I might stroll in and browse his merch when I visit India.
11. Historical...

Some of the comments I read on this site make me feel embarrassed at times. It is embarrassing to see them coming from a fellow Jew. Yours is one of the.
13. HITLER
Nigel Kersh ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (09.04.12)
All the publicity he's received can't have hurt business. Apparently he's considering renaming the shop "Pol Pot".

I'm willing to wager that you can't afford the price of a ticket to travel any farther than your local bus route so don't try to be so smart and go take your Ned's.
15. Sarah !! ...again you shows your ignorance
Alex ,   India   (09.05.12)
Thanks God !! US universities don’t hear your ridiculous sugesstions !!! neither the Israelis ...I graduated from Weizmann Institute...around one year ago in Netanya few guys (Jews!!) vandalized and draw Swastika on wall....does it mean that all Israelis dont know Holocaust !!!! or it is not taught in Israeli school..your ridiculous comment on ignorance of whole Indian population just because one crazy gut found this nasty ways to get media attention....I think at least in history we are taught better than US school ( or may be even than average Israelis school ) and we do study Holocaust in school and also know every well about what Hitler did ..so shut up your mouth !!!!
16. #2 Home School
Mark ,   UK   (09.05.12)
SarahB I have a feeling that your schooling was done at home. Do some research and you will see that most of the school and university teaching is due to the foundation the(despicable lot) provided us with. many inventions and theories which we use today came from India. You such a muppet.
