Catholicism was born out of Roman Empire. The same empire that executed Jesus Christ, hounded and killed his disciples and thousands of early Christians, and destroyed the 2nd Jewish Temple, then forced the Jews into exile and took thousands of them as slaves to Rome and Europe. The Roman Empire for whatever reason subsequently adopted Christianity as their state religion but injected a lot of doctrine that is contrary to Christianity and NOT found in the Bible: worshipping idols, worshipping Mary (calling her the "queen of heaven"), forbidding priests to marry, calling the Pope "Father", confessions of sins to priests (human beings) ...on and on. And none of these doctrines are found in the Bible.
