Unlike Israel, the great majority of Canadians (90%+ live within 100 miles of the US border). Unlike Israel, Canada has shed plenty of blood in Afghanistan. Unlike Israel, Canada did not develop a clandestine nuclear weapons programs and begin the ME nuclear arms race. The difference in the Cold War is that both the Soviets and Amercans didn't wet their pants and start WW3 with "existential" fears. Did the US bomb the CSSR before the latter could develop the bomb just to maintain nuclear hegemony? But Israeli is always "special", right?
