2. Cut the cord
Malka Melbourne ,   Melbourne Australia   (09.08.12)
Israel must cut ties with the US and look after its own interests. Cease and desist taking money from the USA immediately
3. I remember when the US was strong
(09.08.12)
and would do the right thing. Looks like Canada has stepped up to the plate. The US continues its pathetic downward trajectory.
4. #1 Chris, why Obama would "never" keep his word on Iran
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (09.08.12)
Because he's a snake in the grass who is a kindred spirit of the Iranian cause.

BIBI "ISRAEL" will have to understand that they exist there, Palestine sense (1947) not an eternity, true that place was a mess even before Israel got implanted, (NOT THE HOLLY LAND BUT THE CHAOTIC LAND) the place is now even A worse, mess, as problems multiplied, therefore Israel, should be grateful, and do not eat the hand that feeds you. however the idea is that BIBI must understand that creating a worse situation is not to his advantage.
8. Inevitability
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (09.08.12)
It is beginning to look as if war is inevitable. Russia and China probably won't sit on the sidelines. Canada is moving out its diplomats. Maybe they aren't immune to radiation. Romney sure can't wait, wants to turn over the CINC part of the job to Netanyahu the day he's inaugurated. But McCain hasn't introduced a resolution. Wonder why not? Tojo thought the US would roll over for a "strike." Saddam thought the Iranians would roll over for a "strike" with WMD. Both were wrong. Maybe Obama should follow McCain's advice and pull out of the Gulf and "strike" Syria's airfields, but only after shipping a few hundred tons of lead foil to Afghanistan. The US troops there aren't immune to radiation either. Some quickie fallout shelters may be in order for a decade or so.

Obama knows too well what to say and what to do both are very diffrent which many of you fail to understand :) Every president of united states out of concern of losing jewish votes utter the words of "commitment to security of state of israel" and when common jews like you hear this you think onething immedietly :) Truth is its really a lie, but obama's lie is a necesary lie just like rommenys lie about caring for israel :) you just gotto have to decide which lier to trust and that is funny cause when u trust the liar you choose, its gonna hurt alot when promises are broken juts like you are having with obama now :) nobody is going to attack iran on your behalf obama is about to get reelected dont take my words for it wait for nowember :) unfortunately for you the consequnces of taking action against iran alone outweighs your country again dont take my words for it follow the rhetoric and see it foryourself :)
10. Ungrateful Israel
Robert ,   Australia   (09.08.12)
The fact that Israel exists today is by virtue of the United States. More recently it is because of Obama. If Israel had its way and attacked a country that hadn't attacked another for the past 3000 years, it would have been history. It has been Obama who has talked sense into Netanyahu. You should get on to your knees and thank him.

Is American foot dragging!

Henry from New York ,   Under the Tuscan Sun   (09.08.12)
75% of the money is spent on buying US equipment and the other 25% is used to develop technology we buy off the Israelis. Sounds like a good deal to me (for the US anyway).
17. US politics & Israel's fading options
Alan ,   Canada   (09.08.12)
From the standpoint of Israel, the repeated US disregard for previous breached "Red Lines" & its continuing appearance to still believe in the effectiveness of sanctions & diplomacy, can be seen as a US sneeky way to deprive Israel from the option of the preemptive strike by rendering it ineffective &/or too costly in terms of casualties. Once the point of no return is reached, the US would be the only country able to deal with the Iranian problem & given its obvious reluctance of entering in new Middle East conflicts, Israel is entitled to believe that containment would be the US policy as it did with Irak, North Korea & Pakistan not to speak the Syrian no so secret nuclear plant destroyed without the help of the US. If Israel is getting convinced that such is the objective of US foreign policy then the preemptive unilateral strike is in the cards in the near future, assuming Israel is confident it can still execute it effectively & with tolerable low casualties
18. ALL statements are worthless
ben Ish   (09.08.12)
There have been statements, talks, deadlines, policies, talk and more talk, worthless sanctions and more TALK for YEARS, and nothing has happened except to provide Iran with enough time to produce the critical mass and delivery method. No talk or statement will EVER do anything. If you think it will, then just hand over your gas mask now. Your not helping. ONLY *ACTION* COUNTS Do you think we should continue to TALK while they continue to ACT towards, and ultimately deliver the weapon?
19. Obama's words are worthless. He has to go!
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.08.12)
Nothing Obama says will make the slightest difference because Obama's words are worthless. Look at all the big promises Obama made in 2008. After four years of Obama, America is worse off than at anytime since the Great Depression. Obama has to go! Obama's self serving words of "friendship" for Israel, on the eve of an election, are worth less than zero.
20. Obama's Statement
Steve K. ,   Asburn, VA USA   (09.08.12)
From the beginning I shouted to Israel that Obama could not be trusted and would betray you. He will say anything so look at his actions. Just before our elections he made some concessions to Israel but that was a gross manipulation. He in the main he has betrayed you and us. The American public was hoodwinked and this disgrace must go.
21. America acts more like Russia toward Israel RIGHT ???
