1. Ratcheting up the violence
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.09.12)
This is unacceptable, and Israel's retaliation must be swift and harsh. No more highly targeted assassinations or bombing a group of terrorists setting up to fire a rocket. Destroy two blocks of homes in Gaza. Raze them to the ground. That will send a very stark message; also a very clear one. Civilian losses? Who cares? Just point any and all critics in the direction of Syria. I wonder how many civilians have died at the hands of Iran's Revolutionary Guard troops. That is certainly worthy of criticism, yet the world remains largely silent. To criticize Israel for retaliating against terror attacks against its civilians -- given the situation in Syria -- would be the epitome of hypocrisy. And how many civilians has Egypt slaughtered in the Sinai? This is a war, not a game of tiddlywinks.

Cameron ,   USA   (09.09.12)
This time, when you go in, don't puss off & sit at the Gaza gate like the last round. Go for broke, do some hunting, and collect holy warrior heads, especially those of the leadership.
5. Retaliation
Steven Grumman ,   Tucson, USA   (09.09.12)
Palestinians are bound to retaliate given the conditions in which they are forced to live by the Israeli state.
6.  "We've had enough of living in fear."
Ezra ,   San Diego USA   (09.09.12)
If someone wanted to be the leader of Israel, all they would have to do is prepare a response, and follow it through.
Riva ,   Israel   (09.09.12)
It doesn't stop!!! It doesn't matter what you give the Arabs, they will still keep at it! Just too much for all of us! I think it's time for the world to condemn these terrorist hate groups, except the rest of the world seems to hate the Jews just as much or they would condemn this! It's time to STOP expecting any peace agreements!
8. Remember the "old" days when Rabbi Kahane was a radical, not
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.09.12)
any more.
9. Let's just blame Obama
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (09.09.12)
Where is the most powerful and strongest army in the world (IDF)? This is sad. Israel needs strong leaders. Imagine if that was a city in the USA or any other western country. The IDF needs to step up and MAN-UP.
10. israeli idiots
michael weinreich ,   cape town   (09.09.12)

Devorah   (09.09.12)
So, we'll just hit a weapons dump or two and be on our way.
15. Lol Steven @ #5
Moragh   (09.09.12)
If the Palestinian and other arab cruel leaders gave to their people their share of what goes into the bank accounts of their murderous leaders, the muslims in Gaza would have plenty. The Palestinians need to get rid of their present thieving leaders, then they will have what they need.
16. Very lucky
We've been very lucky. Exactly as predicted, Barak, Sharon and Olmert violently cleansing Gaza of Jews brought rockets on innocent civilians and a helpless IDF. We've been very lucky that this gang did not manage to do the same in Judea and Samaria, even though they tried.
17. friendly advice
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (09.09.12)
People who live in in the center in places like Tel Aviv, Givatayim and Ramat Gan. Pack a suitcase with valuable documents and everything you need for a week. Leave it by the door and plan your escape to Judea and Samaria: If you don't want to go, at least send your children.

20. The apology industry likes to say" bottle rockets"& complain
that Israel retaliates even though the Arabs failed in their intention, to kill Israeli civillians. Then there are the media fellow travellers who only Israeli RETURN FIRE.
21. No other country in the world would accept this
tiki ,   belgium   (09.09.12)
So, why does Israel or are they just waiting untill rockets start falling on Tel Aviv penthouses, before any serious action is taken? This is unacceptable!
22. Steven #5 retaliation ??
moshe ,   Tivon, Israel   (09.09.12)
Steven #5 I can see the results of Gaza's " retaliation " : firing explosives, or guns at Israeli civilians, because of Gaza living "conditions". Israel will be forced to respond this " retaliation " miltarily: --- destroying Gaza's peace; further steps: --- withdrawing Israel supplied electricity, ---withdrawing Israeli supplied building materials, --- withdrawing Israeli supplied food. moshe
23. We need to get rid of both bibi and buraq!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (09.09.12)
All those who wanted the gaza pullout, including sharon and peres should be tried for aiding terrorism. gaza should be hit without warning the terrorists. Make sure they suffer heavy civilian casualties, the same for the rest of the p.a.. If we are hit by hizbollah, then lebanon should become a giant empty lot. The same for syria and iran.
24. Why Did Iron Dome Fail?
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (09.09.12)

26. Interesting that the article doesn't say
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (09.09.12)
where the Grad rockets were fired from. A lot of assumptions that they were fired from Gaza not the Sinai. And it is all well and good that 7 countries want to buy Iron Dome, means nothing if there are not enough units to defend Israel.
27. 18 Henri ,good question,bravo !
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (09.09.12)
28. It is really amazing !
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (09.09.12)
How Israeli government / army claim they are hitting the Gaza rocket launchers original places and then these rocket launchers keep sending rockets to Israel causing destruction. It leaves one to wonder about the efficiency and intelligence of Israeli Army.
29. #25 Adam
Ivor Evenbiggergun   (09.09.12)
What you are proposing is a war crime, a crime against humanity and a vialation of the Geneva Convention where you are not allowed to displace the indigenous population of land you occupy through conquest. Israeli politicians try to avoid been arrested
