1. The U.S. Embassy's Statement
Chaya ,   Tel Aviv   (09.11.12)
Dhimmi!! The security forces should have come out.....aimed their weapons at them and told them that if they didn't get down they would be shot....
2. Obama/Hillary legacy
sk ,   USA   (09.11.12)
I remember how proudly Hillary Clinton spoke of the Arab Spring uprising at Tahir square and subsequently how the Obama adminstration threw Mubarak to the dogs. This is the result of the inept, incompetant US adminstration under Obama. People are swayed by this snake oil smooth talking orator who has absolutely no knowledge of how to run a nation, fix its economy or handle an effective foreign policy.
3. US apologizing again
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (09.11.12)
Why did the State Dept make an apology...they weren't funding or producing the film...it doesn't seem that speech at Cairo University moderated the extremists much...Should we apologize for giving them my tax dollars ?
4. Wish I knew what movie it was
Cindy ,   Florida   (09.11.12)
I'd go see it.
5. I agree with the post at No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.11.12)
The United States Embassy is considered sovereign United States soil. Scaling the walls is thus deemed an invasion. The use of deadly force is therefore fully justified. It's also a pretty good way to ensure that it will not happen again -- once bitten; twice shy.
6. Wall of Shame
Dan ,   Florida - Tel Aviv   (09.11.12)
Standing on the wall of the U.S. Embassy in Egypt the protesters are standing on sovereign U.S. territory and deserve to be shot. These are Muslim Barbarians demanding respect for a cult of death, destruction, ignorance and disease. Any film showing the truth about Islam & Muhammad must be made & distributed around the world.
7. Many More Misguided Individuals
marcohoe ,   San Francisco, USA   (09.11.12)
How about the Muslims who never hesitate to bluntly state that Jesus was not a God, He did not die on the Cross and was not resurrected? Isn't that a tad insulting to Christians? Do Muslims ever think of that?
8. Us embassy
Edouard ,   Canada   (09.12.12)
USA SUPER POWER It's a ilariuos statement The USA will bow to any fundamental Muslim ,they will abandon any of it's friends They are losing all credibility The Arabs fundamentalist only understand power and if we don't use it it mean we don't have it And they will continue to push more and more until the western world will be on the knees We better do something before its too late
9. Benghazi US Consulate attacked
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (09.12.12)
and 1 American staff member has been killed as a result of Muslims storming the compound with assault rifles. They are upset about a film to be released they say insults the Prophet Mohammad. Film makers now have blood on their hands, whether they intended it or not. One thing you do not do is insult another persons faith and especially not the extremists!
10. Apology tour #2....
Belinda ,   Texas, USA   (09.12.12)
I'm SO sick of this administration going on apology tours that I could puke! Enough of the BS is enough! If saying/doing things that teach anything but Muslim belief is "insulting to the prophet" then I hope Hollywood spends the next 20 years making those movies! G-d only knows they've spent the previous 20+ years slamming Christians & many more than that slamming Jews! I didn't hear a peep from the Muslims. They need to develop thicker skin, we've had to! As far as the embassy in Egypt, set a few snipers up and pick 'em off!! You think we wouldn't be shot if we did the same thing?
11. Cave in, If they wanted they could have just disassociated.
Ron ,   Melbourne, Australia   (09.12.12)
Apologize that people use freedom of speech - a slippery slope. They could have just issued a statement that the US constitution guarantees freedom of speech of its citizens and so the government has no role. They choose instead to attack freedom of speech - what is the definition of offending someone else religion - e.g. if I am a vegan on religious grounds and a movie is made where meat is cooked and eaten - would my offence means the movie is abusing freedom of speech - (I am a vegiterian - not religious but I am not in the business of being offended like muslims are) - Look at how the coptic church is handled in Egypt and these people do not find it offensive - yet people die, they have restriction place on their churches, etc - We already know Islam is in the business of being offended - they even look to find instances in other countries - so did not even come to their shore - and the embassy statement is a capitulation to force. Good on you Obama and state department.
12. appeasement - what an absurd statement
former expat   (09.12.12)
The US embassy said, "We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others." What an absurd statement to be made by the U.S. Embassy (State Dept.). More appeasement directed by the Oval Office. Nothing of the daily derogatory antisemitic diatribes of the Egyptian press. Losing all faith.
13. film
nadya ,   California, USA   (09.12.12)
I read in another Jewish newspaper that the U.S. film's producer and writer is Jewish and that the funding for the film is from Jews? Hope this is not true. Any answers?
14. In order to claim the right of free speech
PaulZion ,   Israel   (09.12.12)
...you need to practise it yourself. The same goes for demanding religious sensitivity: If you demand respect and sensitivity for Mohammad and Islam, respect others' religious beliefs as well - namely Judaism and Christianity. This they certainly don't do. One cannot demand to be treated according to rules that oneself doesn't believe in and practise.
15. maybe by bombarding the media with all that stirs the ire
Tzila ,   Modiin, Israel   (09.12.12)
of these subhuman Muslims, they might implode or spontaneously combust.
