2. shame we didn't buy a greek island
zionist forever   (09.12.12)
Think of how Erdogan would react if Israel had bought an island from his old enemy Greece for navy training. The Greeks & Jews working together, all we needed to do then was add some Kurds to the package and it would have been enough to give the man a fatal heart attack then we could have been sure he wouldnt run again in 2014.
3. It is 21 century but Islamic ideologies belong to Stone Age,

5. OMG! Not able to drink alcohol is the biggest issue!
kuhl blitz ,   Doha / Chennai   (09.12.12)
What has the Ynet come down to? I guess the next issue to write by this author will be - "Fans disappointed after the concert as they couldn't find enough prostitutes to do some threesome!" And then he may write like what one professor (or a friend) will say how this will never happen in Israel as they could find prostitutes easily here and how Erdogan is cruel by stopping Oldest Trade!
6. Just as Bibi imposes religion on Israel

10. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.13.12)
Jen, darling, the Turkish economy is circling the bowl. The closer Ankara moves toward Teheran, the more likely it becomes that NATO will jettison Turkey. And then the Turkish economy will be flushed. Don't forget, there are plenty of former Soviet republics that would love to host NATO bases.
11. I wish all religious fanatics d wakeup right before they die
EU   (09.13.12)

14. UNKNOWN TRUTH OF TURKEY
Savid ,   Israel   (09.13.12)
There is a civil dictatorship in Turkey. If you speak against the leading party you easily get questioned or arrested for acting against the goverment .If you are a businessman and complain about the leading party, they immediately send you a tax assessor. Tycoons are too scared to loose their belongings and they prefer to serve to the best interests of the leading party by being obedient. Well known journalists and scientist are being kept in prisons mainly because the leading party wishes so. Seculars are afraid to speak to each other on telephones about political issues.
15. Erdogan and the Wrath of Allah
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (09.13.12)
Erdogan will convert Turkey into an islamistic nation and State. Absolutely unfit for the EU.
16. Erdogan has a sick mind
Ahmet Guendogan ,   Switzerland   (09.13.12)
from his past VD. He should seek for psychic treatment.
17. In Erdogans own words
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.13.12)
A few months ago Erdogan said in one of his speeches that they would bring up a Muslim generation. In that idea he passed the 4+4+4 education system that includes religion (Sunni Islam) to be part of the curriculum as a mandatory class. If the secular Turks such as Anton (he claims to be secular) believe that they still can stay silent and wait for a miracle to turn Turkey around to Ataturk's path of modernity they have already lost the battle. What I don't understand is EU and my country USA are not raising their voices to Turkey about the many human rights violations in Turkey under AKP such as the political prisoners in Silivri.
18. West, Russia, China: UNITE for BIG ISRAEL to STOP ISLAMISTS.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.13.12)
19. Fools....
John Prophet   (09.13.12)
The naïveté of the West is stunning. The Mullahs in Iran have their heads full of Allah and Devine intervention. They see the West as crumbling, and the Arab awakening as signs of Allah's Devine intervention toward the ultimate goal of the global Caliphat. The words and deeds of men are less than meaningless to them. Those waiting and hoping Iran will come around because of sanctions are fools and Chamberlin's progeny.  Appeasement is always the cowards way out, hoping and wringing of hands praying that maybe just maybe evil will change its stripes. It never does!  The West waited and waited hoping Hitler would be sated. He never was, he wanted it all. He saw the West as worms for their reticence. Tens of millions died in WWII because Hitler was not dealt with sooner. The evil that were the Nazis has resurrected itself in the form of Radical Islam. Radical Islam is just as virulent an evil as were the Nazi. They also want it all, and this time if not stopped will have atomics! How many will die this go around due to reticence and a failure of leadership.
20. what about religious education in israel?
dan   (09.13.12)

21. long term
Edy Burak ,   miami , usa   (09.13.12)
chavez style in Venezuela , Fidel Castro style in Cuba , Cristina style in trucholandia (argentina) , they are all the same garbage !!!!
22. Erdogan's plan
Green Baron ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (09.13.12)
In reality, Erdogan's real long-term plan is the reconstitution of the Ottoman Empire. If he goes that route, at some point, he or his successor will find that Turkey's and Iran's interests will be in competition, and then the two could clash.
23. Turkey? Wakey, wakey. It's goal of EVERY Muslim country
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (09.13.12)
They test the waters occasionally to see how close they are to the world's tipping point -- as they have this week. Still a long way for them to go. But, if Europe's and Obama's foreign policy maintains traction, they'll soon all be like Pakistan or Iran --on the edge of coming out of the closet as enemies and, by then, most nuclear. Still time, but Europe and Obama are closing the window for us.
24. dan #20
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.13.12)
What about? Judaism does not control the government, nor does it prevent other religions and opinions, unlike Islam
25. #20 Dan and 24 Gee
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.13.12)
In Turkey there is a cabinet position as Diyanet Isleri Bakanligi = Ministry of Religious Affairs. It only cares about Sunni Islam, ignoring all other religions as well as other Muslim sects such as Alevi and Bektashis. As far as I know In Israel there is no such cabinet position and - despite all the pressure from ultra religious - so far Israel is a secular democracy with Muslims in the Knesset. Please correct me if i am wrong What Erdogan is slowly doing in Turkey is to establish Sheria rules one step at a time. Selling alcohol was banned in many places and most recently at rock concerts. A Mesjit is created in every government office while there are many mosques at a few minute walking distance and many more.
