1. Thanks to Gilad Shalit for sharing these words of wisdom
me ,   here   (09.17.12)
with all of us! It's a pleasure to see him back and well and, like always, expressing so much wisdom so well, even at his young age! Many happy New Years in Freedom - and with all of Live's ups and downs, may it all be ups!!!
2. gilad...we are very happy for you
JL ,   israel   (09.17.12)
have the best year of your life and continue onwards!
3. L'Shanah Tovah Gilad
mea   (09.17.12)
All the best to you.
4. Thanks
zznhl   (09.17.12)
Gilad would do well by touring Israel and visiting the sites of the original groups that started and kept up the struggle from the beginning, who kept the fight for Gilads release in the public eye during the dark years of apathy when It appeared that the government and the public had forgotten or given up on him, when the term "paying the price of war" was heard. I'm talking of the "Kfutsot hasomatim". We have heard nothing from the Schalit family since the day of Gilads release. Finishing this task would go a long way to normalizing your circumstances and helping you get the rest your life Gilad

7. Calling on nations
Toby   (09.17.12)
Calling on nations to invite Gilad as their guest, all expenses paid.. Suggest Caribbean nations start first. This young man deserves this, after the living hell he has been through.
8. Brought tears to my eyes
Henry from New York ,   Under the Tuscan Night   (09.17.12)
A piece full of hope and promise where he expresses a desire to become just like everyone else again. What brought tears to my eyes is that even after all he has been through, Gilad didn't say even one thing out of malice. He has every reason to curse his former captors, but we see none of that here. May he be sealed in the book of life for a good year and many more years to come!
9. Gilad Shalit
Saliman ,   Kibbutz Nahal Oz   (09.17.12)
L'Shanah Tova to Gilad and family, how wonderful it was to set a table without having to set a place for you, you had your place for real at home. Thank you for expressing your feelings and wish you only Health and Sweetness for the New Year. Eleanor and Don Saliman
10. Ohhh,pleeeease Gilad!!!!
Keren ,   IL-BR   (09.17.12)
How can you say that the most powerful experience of the past year (apart from the release itself and being reunited with your family of course) was celebrating with the players in NBA Finals in Miami in the locker room and got wet from the champagne they poured on each other. PLEEEEASE Gilad!PLEEEEEASE!!!!! I thought that your most powerful experience(apart.....) would be a powerful Torah shiur in your shul :) Well, taste is taste...

20. Who are we?
SDJZ ,   Herzlia Israel   (09.18.12)
Who are we to criticize what Gilad says and feels? He's probable bugged by the media non-stop to share some personal info, feelings. Then when he does, we criticize what he's said. This is what he feels, enjoys. He should be enjoying the small pleasures in life, whether it be a basketball game or a walk in nature. Shannah Tova l'kulam. Try to be happy for and accept one another.

Sandra ,   Melbourne Australia   (09.18.12)
Dear Gilad, I have followed your story ever since you were first captured. My heart was breaking for you and for your family, and I can't begin to imagine what you went through. Welcome back to the world. You said you would like to go somewhere quiet and commune with nature. Why don't you come to Australia and visit the Great Barrier Reef in Far North Queensland, to see the most beautiful picturesque scenery with tropical fish, pristine beaches with golden sand, rivers containing crocodiles, cassowaries in the rainforest, delicious tropical fruit and vegetables, beautiful fish, and not a lot of people to annoy you. I believe it is paradise and I would suggest you go there and tell me if you agree. My best wishes go to you and your family, who I believe are the luckiest people on earth to have you returned safely to their arms - something none of us ever dreamed would happen. I wish you a sweet New Year and well over the Fast followed by a lifetime of good health, happiness and peace. Sandra
23. Scenery and Fresh Air
Chilli Raveh ,   Beersheba   (09.18.12)
Great message Gilad. Try New Zealand for sparse population, inspiring scenery, and physical challenges that renew one's mind and body.
24. Potentially danger path.
Artur ,   Warsaw Poland   (09.18.12)
Oh, gush, not so good! He starts to preach. Watch out, dear Gilad, the next space waiting in the front, the next step is loftiness. I hope, you'd never reach this point. Am affraid you're quite close to it. Sad..
25. Shana tova
Margie   (09.18.12)
While you were in captivity every time we celebrated hagim with friends and family I thought of you alone. This year I thought of you being back with your family and am sure that I am not alone in being happy for you and for them

27. I love you Gilad!
Cindy ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (09.18.12)
I hope you'll read this: Dear Gilad: I am a kindergaten teacher, and by the time you were abducted, we talked many times about you with the kids, hoping to see you soon back home. Kids used to write you letters (with parent's help) which I used to read to them in our "mifgash" time. I read them also that awesome story you wrote when you were a kid about the shark and the little fish.... I wish you the BEST...be happy... have an awesome and great New Year and fullfill all your dreams. Shana Tova!! Cindy
