1. YES, thank you
former expat   (09.20.12)
Interesting thoughtful analysis. thank you.
2. Foolish claims
Eldar ,   Haifa   (09.20.12)
All of this nonsense flies in the face of 4 years Obama's track record as one of the best friends of Israel the White House has ever seen - as honest Israeli leaders and even AIPAC has recognized. Shoula tries to scare us with "what-could-be" scenarios, while Haim Saban, for example, writing in the New York Times, lists EXACTLY how Obama has already been great for Israel. And this despite absolutely unprecedented Israeli intervention in American electoral politics. At least Shoula, now presumably an American, is there. Bibi has no excuse.
3. The only American politician who sees through Bibi's lies
Why Anti-Israel??? ,   tampa   (09.20.12)
4. Second anti-US term
berlonski ,   berlin   (09.20.12)
Israeli Jews should carefully consider grave consequences of choosing Netanyahu over US-Israeli friendship
5. Pres. Obama A Reluctant Friend
Ron G. ,   NYC   (09.20.12)
Can anyone really question that Pres. Obama has been a two faced friend to Israel. While he does what he must - and what Congress would insist upon - he introduces new concepts to the Israeli and Pal. negotiations that have thwarted progress and caused the Pal. to dig in their heels. His handling of the so-called Arab Spring and Iran show an Islamic orientation and the points raised in the article are entirely consistent with his first term actions. Creating a Pal. state on very disadvantageous terms for Israel will be a high priority in a second term and he will shove it down Israel's throat. Nothing in his life points to an appreciation for Israel or its place in the world. Beware!
6. Obama is absolute disaster for America & Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.20.12)
There is not one benefit that either America or Israel has enjoyed as a result of the Obama presidency. Whether you look at unemployment, deficits, housing foreclosures, foreign policies...or anything else. Obama is an absolute disaster for both America and Israel. Obama never should have been U.S. president in the first place. He had absolutely no qualifications. His presidency inflicts enormous damage. Its time to end the suffering.
7. Green Issues
ky   (09.20.12)
The dominant political ethos is one of hope and wishful thinking. Green young things that include many people of Jewish origin will vote for Obama hoping that he will bring change to the deadlock and conflict surrounding the ME. Obama also represents a new electorate in the US where the racial balance has turned away from the wasp. I think myself that Israel needs to prepare itself for another five years of Obama but it needs to arm and prepare to defend itself like never before.
8. Nonsense
sharon ,   israel   (09.20.12)
1) You decided to live in America so vote what is best for America. 2) American Jews will vote for Obama since their concerns are first and foremost what is happening in America and not in Israel. That is why they live in America and not Israel. 3)Anyone who doesn't agree with the right wing of Israeli politics is terrible. The hell with the facts. HOPE OBAMA WINS!!!
9. Obama refuses to meet with Biibi, but meets with Morsi
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (09.20.12)
The fact that Obama refuses to meet with the PM of Israel (& this is not the 1st time), but has met with Morsi, the head of the anti-American Muslim Brotherhood & speaks volumes about who his allies are. He doesn't have to be buddies with Netanyahu & agree with him on everything, but to snub America's greatest ally at such a critical time is unacceptable & unbecoming of a U.S. president. Also to those who say Obama is a friend of Israel because of US aid, this is the work of CONGRESS not Obama & would be passed with ot without Obama's approval.
10. Obama will invite the Al Qaeda leaders to Whitehorse house.
Other X   (09.20.12)
And will givre them the that Israƫl receives from the us.
11. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.20.12)
U.S.-Israeli "friendship" based on Obama's agenda? No, thank you. And you should consider the grave consequences of a German criticizing Israel. Clearly YOU have forgotten your disgraceful history. I assure you that the Jewish people have not. Tread lightly -- you won't like the grave consequences.
12. Israelis must learn
Sidney ,   USA   (09.20.12)
What is good for the United States is the first consideration of American Jews. Jews want a government that follows policies consistent with the Jewish tradition of care for others and tolerance. Republicans have embraced the Ayn Rand doctrine of selfishness. As for the horrors that Obama will inflict on Israel described in this article, he hasn't the power to do it. Congress and public opinion will stop him. Obama is a weak leader who doesn't fight for anything. The American people have a choice of two bad candidates in this election.

Fad Egypt   (09.20.12)
are you kidding ??!!! Obama track record one of the best friends of Israel the white house has ever seen ???!!!!! are you israeli or living in Israel ? i dont think so , Obama was a disaster for Israel , forced Israel to accept the two state solution , freeze the settlements , said Israel must return to 1967 lines , didnt force the PA to stop terror or incitement , supported the MB in Egypt and the islamists in the region , freed Qaeda terrorists to fight Gaddafi in Libya and Al Assad in Syria , begged for negotiations with Iran , refused to impose sanctions or threaten a military action against her , undermined Israel threats against Iran , appeased Turkey at the expense of Israel by preventing Israel from attending a counter terrorism conference twice to satisfy Turkey , the Obama admin has many MB members like Dalia Mogahed , Huma Abbdin , Imam sheikh Mohamed and many others , he must GO , Romney/Ryan 2012 shalom
14. Obama
Harold ,   USA   (09.20.12)
President, if elected, will finish and completes anything he started during his first term including the two states solution.
15. Do not waste your breath
Shalom ,   Ashdod, IL   (09.20.12)
because American Jews are dumb voters. I lived there for 40 years and I know them. They will vote for Fidel Castro if he had a D (for Democrat) after his name. I will bet anyone that Obama will get 70% of the Jewish vote no matter what he does in the Middle East
16. yes ! Jews who will vote Obama will betray Israel !

Andrew Michaels ,   SAN DIEGO CA   (09.20.12)
I don't know what your smoking but you have no idea what your talking about, Obuma is the worst thing to happen to the US and Israel and everything must be done to remove this idiot.
18. What utter nonsense
Yoni ,   Holon, Israel   (09.20.12)
Amazing how far people go to misrepresent the truth...hysterical thinking to try to scare everyone. Good thing most people don't believe this.
19. Paranoia
esse ,   --   (09.20.12)
Is there anything you people aren't afraid of? A second Obama term will likely be similar to the first Obama term: Obama will stake out the middle ground in his speeches, but support Israel unwavering in action. Oh, and maybe you don't realise this, but American Jews will vote for who they think is best for America, not Israel. Thinking that Jews aren't loyal to their home country is actually antisemitic. Hence, this article perpetuates an antisemitic stereotype.
20. This is an important article!
Reuven   (09.20.12)
21. seems that you wnat your capital to be Haifa?
ric ,   usa   (09.20.12)
22. obama
Sarah B ,   U.S.A./Israel   (09.20.12)
Even though Obama has his disadvantages he is an infintely better choice than the 'anti-47%' and 'anti womens rights' bigot Mitt Romney. Romney is an ignorant fool and a religious fundementalist, something we have too much of here already. I rest my case
23. Israeli Jews--stay out of our election
arik ,   usa   (09.20.12)
Shoula--go back to Israel. Your loyalties lie there.
24. The sky is not falling!
Steve ,   Plainedge, NY USA   (09.20.12)
The US gov't does not run by the democratic platform. In fact, nothing does. To base your fears on an impotent "manifesto" is irrational on its face. The US will always stand by Israel. Every administration, Republican or Democratic is so similar, I defy anyone to identify real differences. Let the US elect its leaders without the input from partisan Israelis. In the end you are only alienating the american electorate.
25. American Jews don't vote Israel or America
BH ,   Iowa   (09.20.12)
They don't vote economy or national security. They vote abortion, gay marriage and gun control. Most American Jews are urban voters - voting urban democrat machine politics. What they get is the safe, verdant utopias of Chicago and Detroit.
26. Unfortunately
avi ,   nyc   (09.20.12)
Many American Jews are more interested in having gentile kids, and abortions than Israel. Those who are committed Jews already agree with everything the authoress wrote, but too many american Jews either dont care or want Obama to rape Israel. Things have not changed much since the days that American Jewry was deafeningly silent during the Shoah.
27. #12 "Jewish tradition"??????
avi ,   nyc   (09.20.12)
Only a minority of Jews in America folow Jewish tradition, and those are the core of Jewish republicans. Unfortunately most American Jews are assimilated treife jews many with gentile spouses and kids who have never visited Israel, are more interested in abortion than Israel and many support the arabs. Tradition my arse
28. Second term
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (09.20.12)
President Obama's second term, a virtual certainty, will benefit America. Moreover, anything that is to the detriment of Israel benefits America, which will dump the Zionist millstone. It is well past time that America quit trying to ride the dead horse called Israel!
29. Shoula Romano Horing was born and raised in Israel

Woman why don't you go where you came from and stay there - We don't need another war or warmongering 'patriots' like you. By the way this will prove that your handlers, Likud and AIPAC are paper tigers ,...
