How many of these rioting & murdering Muslims have actually watched the film, just a handful I imagine? If they did and they were willing to watch it with an open mind rather than telling themselves its ridiculing Mohammed they would see its nothing more than a homemade Monty Python style movie only this one is made about Muslims rather than Jews. Time for the Islamic world to stop acting like children and throwing tantrums everytime somebody in the world does something they don't like. Islam is certainly not the religion of peace.. Glad to see the judge made the right call and hopefully Google will never be intimidated into removing it and the film will be on YouTube for many years to come.

Once upon a time each country had a ministry of culture whose job it was to censor movies that were deemed too lewd or violent for local audiences. Internet access to media has rendered that system laughable. I am not advocating a return to the "bad old days" of thought police, however, its a sad day in Israel when some foreign clown's freedom of speech and Google's right to mega-profits trumps our own citizens' right to have their religion respected. What, pray tell, does Israel gain from this silly decision? It's a blow to our pride in the national principle of freedom of religious worship. The same left-leaning element seek every opportunity to slander Judaism as well.

But why on earth would you even want to suggest that people who may be interested in that silly trailer be deprived of their absolute right to see it? Judge Mizrahi's ruling was absolutely correct -- those who disapprove of it do not have to watch it. In a country which prides itself on being a free forum for ideas, those who wish to see the trailer should have every right to do so.

A true American president would not waste our blood or money on a bunch of animals. The whole of Congress is guilty of embezzlement and acting as foreign agents, sending money that should be used for the benefit of the American public, but is instead going overseas to other people who are not entitled to it or appreciate it. The film is foreign, so are the servers it resides on. Yet in Israel, no one's freedom of worship is disrespected, and as the judge said, if no one searched for the film purposely, they wouldn't find it. With or without the film on YouTube, Muslims, Christians, and Jews would still be able to worship as they pleased. To ban something for the entire country because one group deems it offensive IS thought police and DOES violate the rights of the remaining citizens, and is no way honorable. If you want to really discuss attacks on our National Pride, let's discuss the racist libel attacks against Jews and Judaism by Israeli Arabs, specifically some Arab MKs, and this is considered acceptable to the Israeli Left.

I am still waiting for the consistency among these Muslims, who feel insulted. I just know that I would be deeply offended and disgusted if this movie referred to Moses. I think that in a country with such a large Muslim population, this film should be temporarily band. I know that there are far worse films out there about Jews that Muslim countries don't seem to ban, but I would take more pride in Israel knowing that we upheld repsect for religion of all citizens through banning the film. It's just the right thing to do...

The movie may be silly, low quality and offensive. But in a democracy, it is nit the job of the government to rule on this or to ban it as you suggest. You have the right to follow your religion, others have the right to laugh about it, even if this is "offensive" to you (although I wonder how, since you wouldn't watch it, nor watch other people watch it): as Rowan Atkinson said: "in a democracy, the right to offend takes precedence over the right not to be offended". And with respect to the remark "a blow to the freedom of religion" - religion should't be free to dictate! In a democracy my right of freedom FROM religion is as important as your freedom OF religion. Enough of this Spanish Inquistion. Go watch a Monty Python movie.

They make spoof films about Jews all the time and hey Jews ignore them. Even the ones who are angry & feel the movie is insulting don't go on the rampage like Muslims do. Out of all the thousands of Muslims who have been rioting over this film how many do you think have even bothered to look at the movie? I think alot of these riots is one group of Muslims saw it and started rioting over it and so it led other Muslims around the world to riot as well over this movie they never seen. We live in a 24 hour media age so Muslims in one part of the world see them in another part of the world rioting over a film they never seen but so not to be left out they also riot. I find this expression 'respect for a religion' rather ridiculous.One might be expected to have CONSIDERATION and be tolerant towards peoples' religious practices and beliefs,but respect for them is another matter all together Somebody who has looked at a religion and objectively finds it to be grotesque,objectionable and false can hardly be expected to have respect for it and cannot be forced to do so. This is far more than a freedom of speech issue.It involves freedom of conscience and belief,freedom of enquiry,freedom of debate and freedom of the individual.The Islamists response to what they consider to be an insult simply reinforces negative feelings towards Mohammedanism and highlights its intolerant,despotic nature.
