I come here and I read these comments from Americans badmouthing president Obama asking for Iran strike even in the midst of weak economy. They want an attack immediately without letting diplomacy work but back at home, they cry Obama spent trillions and wants to raise taxes. How do you expect the war to be funded? How do you expect the debt to be paid? You've got to chose what you really want. More wars, huge debt. or more diplomacy and paid off debt. Lastly, Netanyahu is only playing politics here. Where was he all these months leading to this election? Did Iran begin this nuke program immediately Obama took office? In the end, I trust Obama to do the right thing for America and for Israel. Majority of people talking thrash here will never vote for Obama even if he strikes Iran and remove all the mullahs. So he considers your voices a noise and that is right.

Obama has "forgotten" the USA's position in world politics if the "only pressure" he feels is to do what is "right for Americans". The office of American President has a much bigger responsibility than that - and intervention in past world conflicts by America has never purely been to do what's right for Americans themselves but rather to do what is morally right for America as a State ( on behalf of Americans ) . The right thing to do is often balked at by Americans many of whom would have preferred not to have their Nation becoming involved in Vietnam, Korea, Indochina, Grenada,Dominican republic etc etc - but America ( as THE superpower ) is seen as having an altruistic responsiblity and fulfilling such helps maintain America as such a superpower. Now Obama knows this but is weak, disingenuous and hesitant. He is also rude diplomatically speaking and his on microphone gossip with the somewhat slimey Sarcozy, displayed his true colours. Obama needs to do what is right for the free world - and not what sounds right for his re-election chances!
