Do many or any New Yorkers really support Jihad? Does the poster serve a purpose? We've had some interesting posters in London, such as 'Free Gaza .. . . from Hamas!'

They speak the truth. If Moslems are offended, imagine how the civilized world feels every time they riot uncontrollably, cause mayhem, issue fatwas and kill people? I have yet to hear a single Moslem cleric -- in the United States or anywhere else -- denounce the issuance of fatwas and bounties. I'm tired of hearing all about "moderate" Moslems who are afraid to speak up. If they are afraid to speak up, then as far as I am concerned, they do not exist.

The meaning of Jihad is "A religious war with those who are unbelievers in the mission of Muhammad ... enjoined especially for the purpose of advancing Islam and repelling evil from Muslims." Can anyone deny the fact that Jihad is savagery? If you sympathize with Jihad you are supporting savage acts of religious war against all infidel non Muslims and your goal is to force by might the religion of Islam upon others. Savages!

The "silent majority" of Muslims won't say a word to criticize the atrocities carried out by their fundamentalist brethren because Islamic terrorism is inspired by Islamic teachings. We can never get rid of it unless we defeat the ideology behind it. Islam induces hate backed by lies. The terrorists follow the real Islam. If you don’t approve jihad, you cannot be a real Muslim.

Anyone having doubt or opposing these ads, including infamous CNN, please think only about how the air travel changed around the globe thanks to the "Savage" Jihad. Why no one talks about it, the costs of security at the airport that is tackled to our fares, the inconvenience for the travelers, etc...

The appearance of these Islamophobic poster ads show that we need to take a new look at untrammeled free speech. Perhaps that was OK for the 18th century well into the 20th, but this is the 21st century. Circumstances have changed and perhaps certain freedoms therefore must be curtailed. These ads provide a concrete example why.

Show me where the posters are anti-Islam. I see an anti-violence campaign in the name of Islam, but not an attack against Islam...unless Islam and violent jihad are one and the same. Are they? Tough to equate an anti-violence poster with blatant attacks dehumanizing Jews and denial of the most documented, largest systematic genocide campaign in human history. But you did try. So here's a gold star.

it brings complacency and laziness. No other time was that obvious than in 1939 when the world saw the Nazi threat, knew its goals, and still decided to ignore it as an anomaly. The world would have advanced so much further had they dealt with the Nazi threat early and decisively, allowing millions of people to continue living and trillions of dollars to remain as productive forces in national economies, wouldn't you say? This poster is an informative piece about the dangers of violent jihad (unless you support that kind of thing). No different than posters in NYC about the dangers of trans fats, which, by the way, some groups fight because they don't want to believe basic science and health. You too can choose to ignore this poster campaign.

Funnily enough, I cannot recall a single instance of you protesting against the vile and despicable cartoons featuring the Jewish people and the State of Israel that are a daily feature in the Arab and Moslem press throughout the world. Your hypocrisy and double standards know no bounds, do they? By the way -- freedom of expression is not untrammeled. You cannot yell "Fire!" in a crowded theatre. That's license. You cannot paint a swastika on a synagogue. That's hate speech. But simply stating the obvious -- that fundamentalist Islam is jihadist in mentality and foments violence -- unfortunately for you, that's protected speech. Or do you think the First Amendment should be repealed?

So this Pakistani admits that violent jihad is part and parcel to Islam, and thus causing this poster to refer to all Muslims as "savages"? It seems like the issue is much deeper than just this poster. The issue is with Islam in general. And the US has NO protections for violence or discrimination in the name of religion, no matter how much oil you have.

Yeah, tough to see things that you disagree with. It was so much better when the govt told you what to think - and helped you see the light if you thought differently. One example why the US probably isn't the place for you is your own bias which remains a minority, including believing these posters are anti-Islam when infact they are anti-violence in the name of Islam. Jihad calls for holy war against non-muslims. It appears 41 times in the quran. According to the muslim brotherhood "It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet."

is that Islam has not progressed into the 21st century. No Muslim country has freedom. If the Muslims want to dish it out they need to learn to take it and the west needs to quit treating these cranky babies with kid gloves . There is no reason to curtail our freedoms just to please these backward people. Count yourself among them. You don't deserve to live in the U.S.
