israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (09.30.12)
Erdogan is right that Russia and China's support of Assad is hardly moral. But then again, Erdogan's support of apartheid in Saudi Arabia, his support of Al Qaeda against Assad, his occupation of Cyprus and butchery of the Kurdish people is just as bad.
7. What Strategy Syria Government is Using
Alvin Bell ,   Canana   (09.30.12)
The Syrian Government is destroying the cities to make them inhabitable so that all the citizens would leave since they would be no food and running water. The military would then take over these empty cities and then have selected refugees return..

I wonder why history, so far, turned a blind eye on Turkey's genocidal acts against Armenians, Syriacs and other peoples and communities that once thrived in the region, and who were driven to extinction by the Ottoman Turks

Which disputed areas are you are you referring to?Judea?Samaria?Gaza? The "occupation" is a myth. The territory is disputed. "Occupation" refers to territory owned by another nation, such as Turkey, which had administrative control for hundreds of years, and which lost the land in WW1 to GT.Britain, which left in 1948.The Palestinians rejected the UN suggested partition in 1948.The War of Jewish Independence in 1948 was an attempt by invading Arab armies from Egypt,Lebanon, trans Jordan,Syria and Iraq to destroy the newly formed Jewish state and government;Egypt grabbed Gaza and Jordan pilfered Judea,Samaria and the eastern part of Jerusalem. Both Egypt and Jordan gave up their claims to these lands well before their peace treaties with Israel.Hence, there is no occupation of any prior nation. And I won't even charge you for this lesson.

The Jews are the Palestinian people and the ersatz pals that you talk about are Jordanians, Egyptians, etc. who have stolen the name. Get your head out so you can smell something else besides what it is that you are posting. It might smell like coffee to an ersatz Palestinian but anyone with any intelligence knows it for what it is.
15. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.01.12)
That would have been the Armenians. But do keep in mind that Turkey killed a fair number of Azeri people, too. And the fact that Armenians committed genocide upon the Azeri in no way diminishes the fact that the Turks committed genocide upon the Armenians.
