Whatever nasty regime takes over from Assad, one policy will remain unchanged. They won't be giving up their claim to the Golan and resettlement of the Pals resident in Syria back to Israel. To stir things up proper I believe it's very likely they will accuse Pals as supportive of the Assad regime and mistreat them accordingly.
