sorry for these guys? Who has cared about our southern cities being bombed for the past 7+ years from the Gaza strip? Syria seems to have a halo around it that the world seems to be afraid to penetrate. Chaval!
4. Oh shucks! What is all this fuss from Turkey???
Harry Wright ,   UK   (10.03.12)
Southern Israel has had to put up with rockets and mortar fire from Gaza for YEARS! Turkey never showed any sympathy. Turkey is bawling after a few weeks of sporadic firing on its territory??? Shame! Shame! Shame! Stop the panicking, will ya! You sound like frightened babies!
5. what next?
DavidR ,   USA   (10.03.12)
If Turkey responds militarily as they said they would, this has potential of pulling NATO into the Syrian conflict. Syria would look upon it as a western attack and could potentially respond against Israel. What would be the consequences of that I wonder? Would Damascus become a ruinous heap?

If Assad is foolish enough to draw Israel into the conflict using conventional weapons, yes, Damascus -- at a minimum - would become a ruinous heap. If Assad is completely insane and draws Israel into the conflict using chemical and biological weapons, then Syria will simply cease to exist. Do not discount the possibility, however, that the mortar fired from Syria into Turkey may have been a deliberate act by the rebel forces in Syria seeking to expand the conflict, as they have already done in Lebanon and in Iraq. That puts into play a very different scenario.
