The iron domes are for rockets fired towrds the big cities....Ashkeon, Beer-Sheva, etc.,which are farther away from the Gaza strip.There is no protection for those of us in the rural communities which hug Gaza.

For 55 shells and rockets fired DELIBERATELY at Israel's civilian areas, we get no condemnation from Obama and a demand from the White House that Israel show restraint and retaliate as massively as Turkey did. Meanwhile, Obama fires drone missiles every week to kill Al Qaida leaders and operatives in Pakistan 10000 miles from US shores,, with hundreds of "collateral" deaths of civilians so far, yet demands that Israel not undetake a similar daily drone attack strategy to wipe our Hamas' leaders - firing into israel from right next door. Hardly surprising that Israeli leaders won't trust Obama. It is our Indonesian President's weak and warped foreign policy that causes attacks on Israel and on US embassies alike.

I felt happy when Israel installed Iron Domes, but some please tell me; where are they, and if they are, how effective are they. I feel sad that rockets can still land in Israeli communities.

Oh, the system can handle multiple fires. It calculates the trajectories and determines where the projectiles will land. Why waste Iron Dome on a projectile that will land in an open field? Those firings, Israel handles a bit differently.
