1. UNIFIL
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.08.12)
Ah, yes. Would that be the same UNIFIL that also hasn't detected any violations of Hezbollah with respect to re-armament? Right. Well, perhaps if the UNIFIL troops could manage to disengage their heads from their nether orifices, they might detect SOMETHING ....
2. ask Ahmadinejad
Alex the Great ,   Houston, USA   (10.08.12)
has as much credibility as the UN
3. AH,YES................................................#1
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (10.08.12)
Is it the same UNIFIL which records almost daily violation of Lebenese air space violation by IAF and says nothing?
4. In other news
steve from raleigh   (10.08.12)
It claimed not to detect its own ass with both hands and a flashlight.
5. Crashes leave DEBRIS, not REMNANTS.

6. #1 'Sarah B' making things up to suit
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (10.08.12)
her 'take' on events. 1701 does not require UNIFIL to do anything north of the Litani river. 1701 only requires Hezbollah to disarm south of the Litani River. As far as UNIFIL are concerned Hezbollah are not rearming to the South of the Litani. therefore if a drone was launched north of the Litani it does not concern UNIFIL as it is not a violation of 1701.
7. The aircraft was said to have crossed into
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/Israel   (10.08.12)
Israeli airspace from the Mediterranean in the area of Gaza. Why would UNIFIL have detected it flying in over the border of Lebanon? If Israel doesn't know where it came from via the x-band radar, which can detect a bumble bee in flight, you cannot expect UNIFIL to

Google "great circle routes." Aircraft do not fly in straight lines.
9. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.08.12)
Hey, whack job, google "Hezbollah Violations of 1701." You will discover that Israel has filed many, many complaints with UNIFIL concerning such violations.
10. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.08.12)
That is because Israel has never agreed not to patrol Lebanese air space, and the United Nations has conceded the point.
11. Sarah B...You're too kind..
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (10.08.12)
..these UNIFIL pillow biters are useless wherever there heads are. They're especially scared by the thought of confronting Hezbollah vis-a-vis that UN Resolution to which you're referring.
12. Mahmood #3
Arnold ,   Canada   (10.08.12)
Unifil DOES report Israeli violations of Lebanese air space. This is a given. The trouble with UNIFIL is that because it is looking up at the IAF it does not see Hebollah building pill boxes and munition dumps. I believe UNIFIL that it did not see any drones. They were not looking.
13. UAV was fired from a ship
Jo ,   Brussels   (10.08.12)
Israel should monitor that
14. Unifil
nigel ,   LONDON   (10.08.12)
it is hard to see anything when you have your head shoved up your Ass. As so many have said, they have managed to miss the build up of thousands of rockets. BTW. Despite the pessimism, Israel tracked the drone from over the Med and I assume could have destroyed it at any point from where it was tracked. As the same time, Israel has been using drone technology successfully for years.
15. To all UN sceptics
Anonymous ,   TX, USA   (10.08.12)
Fyi The UN res 1701 allows them to monitor HA arms within the area under their control & prohibits infiltration of arms from the sea through the multinational navy patrolling the Lebanese coast. Those Navy worship did not detect any drone. Feel free to believe that France/Itali/Spain/Germany/GB are all in cahoots with HA if that makes more sense to you.
16. U all might be laughing at UN
anonymous ,   TX, USA   (10.09.12)
But I bet the IAF is not laughing, and is checking for alternatives after that UN statement.
17. I do not feel bad for israel.
Eric ,   nyc   (10.09.12)
They quit the last war with hezbullies and allowed unif to take over the job of protecting them.Isreal should have left leb in ruins..Instead they built stronger for another day.
18. Lebanese Drone
Henry ,   Cavite, Philippines   (10.09.12)
Time to bundle up Hezbollah, the blasphemous terrorist organization with Lebanon. Hezbollah is Lebanon and Lebanon is Hezbollah. War with Hezbollah is war with Lebanon. A drone from Hezbollah is a drone from Lebanon. Missiles from Hezbollah are missiles from Lebanon. If Israel is at war with Hezbollah, it is at war with Lebanon. To differentiate between the two is folly for Israel.
19. 15 How do you know that? They only said
Mick ,   Earth   (10.09.12)
that they "has not detected a drone flying from Lebanese territory into Israel's airspace" and nothing about not detecting the drone flying from Lebanon into the see.
20. #3 MAHMOOD KNOWS IT ALL
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (10.09.12)
We should really listen to him. He knows his material. Dear Mahmood, IAF will patrol the air space until the monkeys in Lebanon stop lap dogging for the real monkey in Tehran. No insults to monkeys intended here! They are lovely creatures.
21. AH, yes....
neil ,   Boston, USA   (10.09.12)
And what about the foreign army occupying southern Lebanon. No violation, huh? Someone has to keep an eye on 'em
22. You dumb fools...
Marco ,   Spain   (10.09.12)
It came from Iran flying over Cyprus and into Gaza airspace before humiliating Jewish intelligence services by penetrating Israel while all Sarah B can do is bark her venom as usual...
23. why blow up the intruding drone
Gabriel Nderitu ,   kenya   (10.09.12)
The correct thing would have to bring it down with a method that ensures that the much of the drone is preserved as much posible in order to study it thoroughly. shooting it with an aircraft gun from a helicopter would have preserved much of it especially if it falls in a forest.By now so much would be known of teh origin, after all what do you study from ashes any way.
24. Ever have 1 reason to believe the UN, NO, NO and NO.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.09.12)
25. a strong message
sam ,   colorado-USA   (10.09.12)
I think you are drenched in honey because the drone it penetrated for airspace and flying for 30 minute above the reactor in Dimona this is a strong message from the other party I hope that you understand this message well because there is a strong question? How can this Drone crossed all air defense systems?Where the Iron Dome system? I think you are drenched in honey
26. TO Sarah B
sam ,   colorado-USA   (10.09.12)
I want to know what is the SOMETHING?
27. #13 You may be right, It may have been from a ship
Abraham ben Jacob   (10.09.12)
28. #9 'Sarah B'
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (10.09.12)
When confronted with the truth you get rather aggressive don't you? The Government of Israel can complain all they like but which complaints have been upheld? The fact is the drone did not enter the area which concerns UNIFIL I suggest you read 1701 again. UNIFIL are concerned with keeping lebanese people from shooting at Israeli people, and in the terms of the UN they are doing their job. Anyhow I'll give you a heads up, might be worth you being in Israel for that gap between the election and the inaugaration just in case. Bet you don't book a flight
29. Mahmood London
Mae White   (10.09.12)
Really Mahmoud? Can we see some of these so called "almost daily...records"? First I'd heard of 'em.
30. As far as we all know, Mahmoody and
Cartoonist   (10.09.12)
Sarah B of Tel Aviv, this UAV: 1. Was followed already over the Mediteranian Sea 2. It was duly downed and shattered by an Israeli F16 only when the IDF so wanted. 3. IDF are certain where it came from. You all take a wild guess ! 4. UN troops in Lebanon as always, are redundant. They always see the wrong things in the sky. Now, they only saw a few flocks of birds. 5. UN observers never observe because they keep their eyes elsewhere. 6.UN observers are ready to testify that the Hezbollah have no arms at all, mostly, a few reconditioned shotguns.
