Some Arab farmer set off his annual burn after his crop had been harvested. It got out of control and all his sheep were burned. He too claimed it was Jews who started the fire, until it was proved what he was up to.

June 15, 2011 Arabs from Karayut led by Jewish Leftists (Betzelem) initiated a multi-point arson attack on the town of Eli.
The Jewish security unit rushed to extinguish the fire, that in the meantime had spread to a Karayut-owned olive grove.
Betselem agents filmed the fire, but did not help to extinguish it. Later they accused the Zionists of setting the fire, an accusation that was proven false.
Police arrested no one.
