I've read the similar estimates of the percentage of Jews in the Roman world.And I have also read estimates of the Jewish population to be as high as 17 million in the USA,although I am skeptical of that high number. I have found that the latest estimates for our numbers in the USA to be about 6.5 million.

Israel Science gives 176 Jews as prize winners . Jinfo gives some more , 180 or so . Around a total of 860 prizes were attributed . So a 20 % of them have gone to Jews .

If 6,000,000 (& more I am sure) were not to have perished in the previous generation can you imagine how many we would be!
