1. arrogance
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (10.17.12)
Yated Ne'eman is know for assuming that it is THE word in religion and in the religious world. The immense popularity of 'alternative' newspapers such as Bakehila only increases their feelings of inferiority. Simon Peres, recognizably not ultra-Orthodox, none the less, is a person with much to say about life and politics in Israel. Since Yeted which normally reads the 'treif' news sources, then translates it into a languages and style fitting only for their narrow minded readership can not follow suit with Bakehila, since most people will read it there. Yeted has missed the boat many times. It is a break away faction from Agudat Yisrael's 'HaModia' newspaper. They have consistently tried to be 'more religious than thou' assuming that being more religious is better, when in reality, being more G-d fearing is not synonymous with being 'frum' (highly religious).

Tragic
3. Simple

The simplest solution for not exposing their followers to all this "heretic" influence is to give up all the funding they get from the "heretic" state pack their bags and go somewhere else. Maybe Lithuania. I am sure there they will be received with open arms and their rabbis can rule public life.
4. He should resign
Miche Norman ,   Hod Hasharon   (10.17.12)
If our president really expressed understanding "the need to separate between men and women in workplaces and battle against the IDF draft of yeshiva students". Then he should resign immediately for his disgraceful conduct.
5. Two outrageous quotes:
Runner1983 ,   USA   (10.17.12)
"Haredi Lithuanian newspaper Yated Ne'eman ...claim(s) that free press spoil haredi youth and causes the public to rebel against rabbis and disregard their orders." "Yated Ne'eman published an article ... in which rabbis expressed their "protest and disgust over the voice given to bad thoughts." The above two quotes from the article says it all. Free speech causes the public to "disregard the rabbi's orders," and which the rabbis are disgusted by "bad thoughts." Who are these rabbis, who are accountable to no one? Due to the high growth rates of the Haredim, this culture is a real threat to Israel.
6. I feel sorry for Shimon Peres compromising with dossim.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.18.12)
Please retire and write your memoirs. You have no business accommodating the vicious Orthodox.
7. Are Haridim really living in Israel?
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot   (10.18.12)
Shimon Peres is president of all of Israel, so, all citizens should be interested in his actions. Are the Haridim saying that they should present a deaf ear to anyone who is not a member their cult?
