The bigger your party the better your chances of winning seats and the more seats an individual party has the more muscle it has in the Knesset and in any coalition they might be invited into. The country needs to get rid of all the single issue parties and instead lets have just Kadima, Likud & Labor whose MKs would all be directly elected through regions and the party with the most seats runs the country alone for a fixed term. No more coalitions, elections don't take place every 2.5 years when the infighting begins and the coalition breaks down instead we would have stable government that can pass real legislation rather than worrying about coalition partners walking out & forcing an election everytime you want to push legislation they don't like. Right now we have a dysfunctional system that splits the vote to many ways and doesn't work.
