1. Oh, please!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.22.12)
The only legacy left by Rabin is proof why manic-depressives shouldn't hold positions of power. Stop lionizing him -- have you all forgotten whose hand he shook?
2. Gantz
Mordechai ,   Beit Shemesh   (10.22.12)
we are fortunate to have COS with his caliber at this time.
3. SOUNDS GOOD GANTZ, JUST STAY AWAKE
ZIMBI ,   NJUSA   (10.22.12)
4. both rabin and gaantz have never missed an oportunity to
weaken Israel and ,   strengthen our enemy   (10.22.12)

can you do us all a favor and please refrain from commenting. With all his human faults Rabin was more than a lion. The hand he shook was a necessity for this is the real world and sometimes there are things we have to do. He was the reason I immigrated and I still miss him very much. It is hard to see that a furniture sales man nowadays runs this country together with a bunch of stooges. But even harder is the fact that there are so many people thinking like you.
6. Peace ONLY via BALANCE, balance ONLY via SECURE BIG ISRAEL.

7. "With all his human faults Rabin was more than a lion."
trump   (10.22.12)
He was subject to nervous breakdown and ordered to shoot survivors from "Altaneua" ship bombing in 1948 He is only a reference within leftists .............
8. # 5
Teddy ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.22.12)
I share your sentiments. He was a division commander at age 27, says a lot about his qualities.
9. No. 8, IDF had no divisions until after the 1967 war
Marco ,   Spain   (10.22.12)

It seems that you hate peace, two states solution and end of occupation.
11. #10
Anshel ,   Canada   (10.22.12)
What two state solution? Hamas running beside Gaza also Ramallah? Only the fool cannot see that the corrupt Abu Mazen would not survive a week without Israeli protection. The real two state solution is Jordan and Israel. And for Gaza? So far, there is no solution.
12. limited vocabulary
peter ,   tel aviv   (10.22.12)
so# 7 talks about a brake down. yes he did being human. and you are also someone who claims the word leftist as if that is self explanatory . Like right is good left is bad? the right is being supported today and way back by the sepharadim. Yet funny enough the party they support is only laughing at them. They give a cute office to Silvan (Steve) Shalom who truly is a pure example of a sepharadic Jew . They use people like you trump to keep a hold on the government and don't do anything for this country. Strength does not come from occupation but from righteous governing. There were plenty like Rabin who gave all for this country. And it has nothing to do with political affiliation but to do what is best for the nation. So him being human bothers you? That makes him a much more desirable leader than the guy who worries about which restaurant to order his food from while in office. And by the way it was his brother who is the hero not him.
13. Too bad he didn't remain the man who
A ,   Belgium   (10.22.12)
gave the order to "break their arms and legs" regarding the rabble rousers in Gaza. Instead he ended up polarizing Israeli society..., according to him, I was just "a propellor spinning in the wind", and signed his name to the suicidal Oslo Agreements. Suicide attacks followed almost every two weeks. What good did he actually do while PM? And I hope he washed the Arafat filth from his right hand afterwards

Harold ,   USA   (10.22.12)
You are just saying the whole world's popultion are fools except you and your followers. The two states solution will occur no matter what you and others say.
15. Regional conflict
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (10.22.12)
No surprise in that. Israel's establishment in 1948 is the focal source of all of the Middle East's geopolitical infection. If it is involved in a regional conflict, which could well finally put paid to Zionism, Israel would have brought it on itself.
16. I agree with Sarah #1
Terry Feld ,   Houston, Texas   (10.22.12)
Compromise never solves problems, it only postpones the inevitable.
17. #15 You sure do have a lot say
A ,   Belgium   (10.22.12)
even when you yourself have any idea what you're talking about. Go back to quietly reading Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
18. Rabin
AF ,   Reno USA   (10.22.12)
1. Unfortunately Rabin ended with the left wing establishment pushing for another utopia (Oslo "peace") he never truly believed in 2. The Altalena business with Jews shooting Jews, even though done by Rabin per the BG's order, was an indication what could be expected from this man; it will be a stain on his legacy forever.
19. Yeah, right. Great strategist he was.
Ariel ,   Europe   (10.22.12)
But only when sober.
20. RABIN IS AND WILL ALWAYS REMAIN A GREAT HERO OF ISRAEL!
Rafi ,   US   (10.22.12)
... Without his years of insistance on demanding training & the best equipment for the IDF as well as his strategic brillance, Israel would not retain the powerfu deterrence in the region that it has even till this day. The '67 victory - still one of the most decisive in modern military history - remains Rabin's eternal legacy to the Jewish people and Jewish history... all the more so, occurring only one generation after the Shoah. None of his Talkback critics would even be present today - much less located in Judea & Samaria - were it not Rabin's accomplshments in 1967...
