1. one nuke
Leonard ,   LA. usa   (10.24.12)
Big deal. Iran can buy a half dozen nukes plus rockets but they don't, why?
2. sounds familiar......
forehead1 ,   usa   (10.24.12)
"This failed policy is bolstering the extremists and reduces the chances of a peaceful resolution. We can only hope for a different American administration, one that will terminate this absurd plan before it becomes irreversible." not sure if you are speaking about the settlements or iran.
3. IN SO MANY WORDS....
les ,   canada   (10.24.12)
THE LESSON IS: LETS DO IT. NOW!
4. I think Obama understands the Middle East very well.
b ,   here   (10.24.12)
Why can't most people understand that he has made it very clear all during his presidency where his allegiances lie. Unfortunately, It is not with Israel. why are people so willingly blind to this fact.
5. iran gets the bomb
alexandralongisland ,   sands point ny   (10.24.12)
good, time for a balance of power,it would be good for us in america too, some one has to checkmate the troublemakers of the world
6. The author has no choices other than wishful thinking.
Persian CAT   (10.24.12)
Diplomacy and negotiations are the ONLY means to deal with Iran. Those who don't know the Iranian psyche are condemned to writing op-ed like this and continue suffering from not being taken seriously.
7. And hip American Jews are going to vote for Bambi..
ab   (10.24.12)
8. 100% Correct
jay abouaf ,   jaffa   (10.24.12)
9. New US administration - new policy?
Bertram ,   London, UK   (10.24.12)
I doubt it. As I have said previously, if anyone thinks Romney will act differently from Obama then consider what he said in the latest presidential TV debate.
10. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.24.12)
What's to stop Israel from turning Iran into a pile of rubble? Diplomacy? What makes you think that Israel takes "diplomacy" -- American style -- seriously? What makes you think that Israel cannot thwart it? In a heartbeat, I might add. You're such a twit. If you love Iran so much -- why are you in the United States? Go home. We can find PLENTY of other people willing to clean toilets here in the U.S. Why not go home to mother Iran and pay over $1,000 for a ten-kilo bag of rice? It's hard to take you seriously, kitty cat.
11. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.24.12)
Do you really think that four more years of Obama would be good for America? It appears that a considerable number of Americans disagree. Do you think that you -- in London -- are in a better position to decide what is appropriate for the United States? Are you that arrogant? And ignorant?
12. Actually a stab in the back of Israel
Yosi ,   Gilo, Jerusalem   (10.24.12)
but Obama knows that. If the US doesn't care, then they are spitting in the wind and will end up destroying the US instead. Look at how many died because of WWll.
13. Obama is clearly what???
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (10.24.12)
Since Obama has done nothing that benefits anyone in the Palestinian camp, and yet you still came to your conclusion, I must ask: What are you smoking?
14. Bambi?
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (10.24.12)
If Bibi wants to lead you guys into a war with the entire Middle East, and you think that's a good idea, good luck to you. My vote is to sit this one out. Israelis who cause problems have no right to drag every other Jew into the mess. I side with President Obama. You can have Bibi.
15. Two for Tango ?.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (10.24.12)
I Quote - Op-ed: Washington giving Tehran time it needs to complete development of nuclear bomb Comment - As hithereto that goes for Israel as well. Arn.Sweden.
16. #5 trouble makers
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (10.24.12)
Iran has no problem with Israel. Iran does have problems with the Saudis and a certain Western country: think Operation Ajax, arming Saddam to attack Iranian civilians, Flight 655. You tell me. When Ahmadinejad gets nukes, which trouble makers is Iran going to checkmate?
17. To No. 11
Bertram ,   London, UK   (10.25.12)
You rarely fail to disappoint, Sarah B, so I was pleased to see you avoid my point and indulge in your usual drivel. Regarding Obama and Romney, not long to wait!
18. Correction to 17
Betram ,   London, UK   (10.25.12)
Should have omitted 'fail to'.
