1. Everyone has his/her own Rabin
rivkah f. ,   jerusalem   (10.25.12)
Rabin spoke of a united Jerusalem as capital of Israel. He was against dismantling some of the larger settlements and appeared at the site after every terrorist attack. He was for a strong Israel Defense Force. He was not a post-Zionist and not a radical Leftist. Who really knows how he would have reacted to the ongoing duplicity of Arafat?
2. Peres has been dangerously wrong on virtually everything.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.25.12)
One can agree or disagree with what Rabin stood for. However, one thing is certain. Peres has been dangerously wrong on virtually every major subject throughout his entire career. Countless Israelis have paid with their lives and wellbeing.
3. And here is Rabin's way, in his last speech to the Knesset
Jake   (10.25.12)
October 5, 1995: "We view the permanent solution in the framework of State of Israel which will include most of the area of the Land of Israel as it was under the rule of the British Mandate, and alongside it a Palestinian entity which will be a home to most of the Palestinian residents living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. We would like this to be an entity which is less than a state, and which will independently run the lives of the Palestinians under its authority. The borders of the State of Israel, during the permanent solution, will be beyond the lines which existed before the Six Day War. We will not return to the 4 June 1967 lines. And these are the main changes, not all of them, which we envision and want in the permanent solution: A. First and foremost, united Jerusalem, which will include both Ma'ale Adumim and Givat Ze'ev -- as the capital of Israel, under Israeli sovereignty, while preserving the rights of the members of the other faiths, Christianity and Islam, to freedom of access and freedom of worship in their holy places, according to the customs of their faiths. B. The security border of the State of Israel will be located in the Jordan Valley, in the broadest meaning of that term. C. Changes which will include the addition of Gush Etzion, Efrat, Beitar and other communities, most of which are in the area east of what was the "Green Line," prior to the Six Day War. D. The establishment of blocs of settlements in Judea and Samaria, like the one in Gush Katif. "
4. The right way.
Michael Pielet ,   Israel   (10.25.12)
The Rabin way, terror, conflict, empowerment of arab terrorism. return of Arafat and his murders to the land of israel, buying of votes, ignoring the rights of the jewish religious minority. The right way support of the giborai israel, the national religious who are the only true zionists and they and only they will save the nation. The Peres Rabin way the antithesis of democracy and zionism.
5. noam is as blind as peres
gandj   (10.25.12)
rabin was a good guy;however, oslo was a bad peres idea along with his gullible poodle beilin who was in over his head. lebanon, gaza, west bank cleary proved that concessions do not work nor should israel pursue them period. There continue tobe weak jews, peres, barak, olmert, beilin, all of haaretz who would say only if we spoke more to hitler and his kind, maybe it wouldn't have turned out so bad. On the other hand, it might be worthwhile as difficult as it is, to get a new land far away from the arabs and approved for a new state of israel, and that state should be certified by the UN and given a sendoff by 10 trillion dollars from the arab states. And then that state should pass a law that prevents any arab anywhere from living in the new land or visiting it.
