1. The two parties are national liberal and democratic parties,
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (10.26.12)
thus such a union makes full sense. Furthermore, there is little doubt, many voters from Kadima will join the new union. And, with the joining of the next government of both Mafdal and Yesh Atid, this move will finally enable the political system to introduce the governmental reforms that it needs, and will begin to deal in a meaningful and productive way with the Haredim who don't serve, don't work and are sustained financially by the state. In addition to these two tasks, such a coalition government will be able to ensure economic growth while attending to the truly needy, and ensuring Israel's national and security interests. .
2. Lieberman is selling out the nation
Simantov ,   Israel   (10.26.12)
I am sick of hearing about all of these so called unity alliances. Seems that what once was considered Israel's defender has become an entity that has sold out to the new world order and their plan to dismantle Israel.
3. People make stupid political speculation
Ari ,   Jerusalem   (10.26.12)
This is just mathematics. Instead of splitring votes the one ticket-two parties id meant to adquire at least 50 seats in the kneset. This will give more stability for future 4 years. People inside the Likud that have fears is just a matter of stupid perrsonal ambitions. Probably Nataniahu made numbers and While Likud alone could get 30 votes and Liberman 20 the proprtion is 60 to 40% and that is how the ticket is going to be distributed. This not to be a 50% 50% business. Nataniahu is not stupid. Probably the biggest change will be The defense minister and that of the Interior. As for the left tjey are a bunch of loosers, they brought it upon them. The People was betrayed by Olmert and Livni. There might be a slight posibility that Lapid may enter the coalition. Crazy as it sounds. Let's be confident. Nataniahu has shpwn inteligence and the people want him. The polls indicate this, no matter what the leftist press wants. Negotiation with Palestinians is at death end because they want to impose their points. Negotiation on those conditions is not posible. Obama contributed to this disaster. He talked abot 67 border event though resolution 242, talks about secure borders. Olmert payed for betraying Israel one way or another is punishment from Hashem so did Sharon. As for Obama things are getting tough in the USA. His coverup of Benghazi and the promises he made and not kept will be payed at the elections. He also betrayed us and he messed with Hashem.
4. Lieberman and Bibi = Putin and Medvedev!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (10.26.12)
Anyone following what is going on in Russia today will know that they are in the final stages of passing law "outlawing" disagreement with the government. Now, with some of the more "radical" MKs in the Likud Beiteinu, who seem to be showing Stalinist tendencies by proposing laws that Prime Minister Netanyahu blocked, one might wonder what the future of democracy is in Israel will be if there is a "rotation" and Lieberman becomes prime minister? Will be be heading towards King Avigdor of Judea and Samaria with the rest of Israel being the provinces and Gulags in the Galilee and the Negev? Actually, this move by Netanyahu and Lieberman has played right into the hands of those on the extreme left and the Arabs who are trying to destroy Israel and its people!
5. Welcome move: less parties & Ministers & smaller government.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.26.12)
6. Political stability above all else
Mike Druttman ,   Israel   (10.26.12)
I support the idea of 4-5 large political parties for Israel instead of 12 smaller ones. At the age of 64, the country is now mature enough to embrace this. We MUST stop horse-trading for everything and kow-towing to the smaller parties with their exaggerated demands. We MUST STOP zig-zagging on everything and finally move forward. I am neither a fan of Netanyhu or Lieberman. But I will vote for this party because I crave stability for Israel above all else. It is high time for that. Small-town bickering will never work for us.
7. Israel should prefer big Putins
Turgeman ,   Jerusalem   (10.26.12)
8. Good for Israel
Squall ,   Paris, France   (10.26.12)
Having less political parties is a good thing. With the joint list of Mafdal & National Union, the political map on the right is now clear : one national liberal party and one national religious party. Without haredim, they can easily get 50 seats out of 120 in the next Knesset.
9. Big parties make Big sense...
Robert ,   USA   (10.26.12)
From my distance it seems that the number of small parties in Israel makes governing too subject to the few small parties that vote as a block and then form coalitions with the parties that will promise them the most special benefits..
10. And. barak for ambassador to Anarticia
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.26.12)
11. Two losers...great danger for israel
Jimi ,   Palestine   (10.26.12)
All thise who endangered their countries took the same route... their personal agenda is driving them instead of their people. Bye Bye israel
12. Absolutely right decision
Oleg ,   USA   (10.26.12)
Israel is at ongoing war. There are too many small parties in the country and each only thinks about getting some grants from the government, nothing more interests them. Liberals can't deal with danger, that is right on the steps of Israel, they only can create more problems in the future, like Barak Peres created a future problem trying to have peace with enemies, like Barak when he run away from Lebanon, leaving his allies behind, like Olmert, who did not have enough guts to deal with Hezbzdolla during last conflict. Now you have nobody knows what in Syria, islamic regime rise in Egypt, islamic regime rise in Turkey, and on top of all of them Iran with its nuclear goal. Stop pretending all of those does not exist. You must have a strong party.
13. Similar U.S. move
Glen ,   The Bronx   (10.26.12)
The Republicans realized they had F--ked up America so much prior to Obama, they just said, "we can't handle this mess" so the let the dimb so-called blackman Obama (no pun) have it and yes America is DOOMED. Netanyahu knows the sh-t is getting ready to hit the fan and what better way to relinquish, wash his hands of Israels many prophetic problems than to bring this bull (Lieberman) into an already f--ked up china shop. Good luck Israel but theres a mighty storm on the Horizon,,,,,, we are getting ours,,,,,, Lieberman, PM of Israel,,, we will all stay awake to stave off this mightmare, nobodies going to sleep.
14. ALL RELIGIOUS PARTIES, I ASK YOU TO UNITE STRONGLY!
Eliyahu most wanted ,   Brooklyn   (10.26.12)
The time is NOWWW! Move forward, head on. TO ALL RELIGIOUS PARTIES... I ASK YOU TO UNITE INTO ONE STRONG PARTY. Eliyahoo
