On 13 May 1948, Najd was occupied by the Negev Brigade as part of Operation Barak, before Israel was declared a state and before any Arab armies entered Palestine. The villagers were expelled and fled to Gaza. In 1951, the town of Sderot was built on the village's lands. According to UN Resolution 194 and also the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 13, Section 2, the villagers of Najd have a right to return home to their personal property and to their native village.

dream on ....thats your whole problem in a nutshell. jews were expelled from all over the world and what did israel do ...it absorbed them and did not keep them in refugee camps and make them second class citizens ...like the arab countries around israel...what happened in europe ..the same thing ..you are a nation of whenwe's ...it is always when we had this,,when we lived like this..etc etc

The remnants of Najd are still standing, just a couple of kilometers North of Sderot. Sderot was built in an area that wasn't developed at all. In 1948, residents of Najd, like those in many other Arab villages, ran to Gaza because they were promised that every Jew would be exterminated. That didn't happen. If you're going to rely upon International Law, then honor the 1922 Partition that established Israel's legal borders, from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean. The area known as Jordan was intended to absorb Arabs (mainly Muslims) and Jews were expelled from there, sent to the West side of River Jordan in what is designated as the area for the Jewish State.

Article 2 of the UN Charter makes this very clear: “All Members shall settle their international disputes by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace and security, and justice, are not endangered.” The next paragraph reads: “All [UN] Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.” In its ruling on Israel’s Wall in 2004, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) repeatedly affirmed the inadmissibility of territorial conquest, emphasizing, “No territorial acquisition resulting from the threat or use of force shall be recognized as legal.” The Court also averred that this principle reflected customary international law, as previously asserted in a 1986 ICJ case between Nicaragua and the United States. Thus, even were there consensus that the war in 1967 had been a “defensive war” from Israel’s standpoint, UN Charter principles and customary international law prohibit Israel from continuing to hold territory occupied during that war.

It's interesting to see such elaborate citations of International Law coming from people who have no respect for it and who don't apply it to themselves. The points of law you cite don't apply to Israel but do apply to the invading Arab (Muslim) armies that tried (are still trying) to eliminate us. In 1948, invading Arab (Muslim) armies tried to conquer all the land designated as the National home for the Jewish people, but they only got a part of what they were after. This area was not part of the International agreement to create several Arab (primarily Muslim) States in what had been the Ottoman Empire. Note that the Arabs (Muslims) were granted areas vastly larger than tiny Israel. Israel should have included what is today Jordan. But the very notion of Jewish sovereignty insults the pride of those who thought they'd eliminated Jews from the political scene. If you truly respected International Law, you would fight to protect our rights to this tiny portion of land. The invading forces were Arab (Muslim), and they illegally occupied Judea and the Shomron until 1967. Perhaps it's too much to ask, but you should have the intellectual honesty to base your claims to our land on the only law you're interested in implementing - Sharia.
