1. Everyone a prince- No donkey drivers
Tambour ,   Eilat   (11.01.12)
How pathetic is Israeli politics, that allow 2 bits politicians to grab the lion by the tail?
2. Kahlon
Iletzter ,   TA- Israel   (11.01.12)
It seems that Bibi miscalculated. He is very smart and ingenious, and he uses any trick in the book to stay in power. Sometimes he uses Barak, and sometimes Mofaz, and sometimes others- whoever he thinks will help and save him. He however forgets- that he still doesn't rule the world. There is someone on top who pulls the strings.
3. Fifth column or not...
zznhl   (11.01.12)
Another example of the cynical Israeli politician. Pretty face, political prostitute, jumping around between parties, never committing, nothing to offer the voter apart from the prospect of another minority party ruling the roost at the expense of democratic principles. He probably join up with Shas and Zippy. He probably end up as PM one day.
4. 2 bit polly
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (11.01.12)
Maybe but this fellow is something above average , way above. Dont let racial issues blur your judgement of a real talent.
5. this is the first positive political news in ages
Sam ,   Kfar Saba   (11.01.12)
Kahlon and Livni - a strong alternative to the Nethanyahu/ Lieberman disaster. Nethanyahu has tried at every opportunity to eliminate alternatives, but when you got to go, you got to go! Kol Hakavod Moshe Kahlon - you are not one of the sheep!
6. The Israeli Jews suffer day in day out..NO security
Al   (11.01.12)
no real incomes, no real chances for a safe day and night. All the while the two bit whores who call themselves politicans do what they can to fleece, rob and steel their way to the top of the dung heap. The qiestion is to be asked, how long will the Jews of Isreal put up with this shit? Take back your country and throw these vermin in jail where they belong. You are being screwed over by the very leaders who are supposed to lead you. WAKE UP AND TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY.
7. Kahlon - Irael needs you.
Noel Nesor ,   Israel   (11.01.12)
We need new, young leadership. The country has been ruled, and ruined, by the old, corrupt politicos who have lack the guts to make decisions for the the good of us all. Kahlon has shown the ability to break through these old barriers. He should stand in his own right, without Livni, OIlmert, Barak, Yachimovitch, Lapid or any other failure from the past. So an independant centrist party lead by Kahlon would get my vote. But he must choose his running mates very carefully.
8. What a circus
David ,   Haifa, Israel   (11.01.12)
Just what Israel needs another new political party. Would be more the point to change the political election process , where citizens vote for candidates who represent their area. Currenly by voting for a party the Knesset members are not accountable to the public and basically only serve their own intrests. Somehow in this day and age we deserve better, A goverment that is swamped with corruption and convicted criminals and rascists.
9. How many new parties so far? 4 5 going up.
rebecca ,   modiin   (11.01.12)
10. Don't think so...
Dave   (11.01.12)
So what will happen if Likud said to him: your carreer in Likud is over from this moment and you'll N-E-V-E-R be allowed back. Ever. Kachlon thinks that he can achieve something. But what will happen if his party baloon pops after one election and he agai will not be anything higher up than a simple minister. No way back. Kachlon is extremely myopic or outright stupid. His putative popularity went to his ehad. Besides, what if Likud will tell its voters and the Israeli people that how are they gonna vote for a traitor? Will they think they will be so much better of with a fraud and a lousy character???
11. For the record #7
Meir ,   Toronto   (11.01.12)
Yachimovoitch and Lapid are not 'failures from the past' as they have not run before or been in public office.

noel nesor ,   Israel   (11.01.12)
Sorry - I expressed myself badly. I meant to add that Lapid has little to offer and has zero experience. He needs to prove that he is more than a 'celebrity'. Yachimovich did good work in welfare reform in the last knesset but is not a 'leader' - maybe unfortunately. If she were she might have made a good partner for Kahlon to bring about much needed change in so many areas of life in Israel.
13. electoral reform
in and out ,   israel-usa   (11.01.12)
if Kahlon makes electoral reform, each haver knesset reperesents a specific geographic district, to insure POLS responsibility to her/his constituents comes first, then he will set himself apart as a real leader and win big time. Hope so...
