government. Like Hitlers Germany, not all Germans wanted to belong to the Nazi party, but fear for themselves and their families made them do so, whether they belived in it or not. Same goes for Iran and other dictatorships. Under the menacing surface lay a lot of frightened good people. I have met many Iranians and they are such nice, educated people, not like the mobs of fanatics the media shows. And I bet quite a few supposidly enemies of Israel actually wish there was peace and they could visit. Most people value their freedom of a way to live and be able to speak their minds. The only ones that thrive in a dictatorship are those close to the dictator, and that could end on a whim.

iran is not a democracy, and the iranian people are not the problem. the mullahcracy is on a "mission from god" and obsessed with apocalyptic visions. a change of regime would benefit the iranian people as much, or more, than anybody else.
3. It would be great to see the common man

This sends us all a message: aside from the politics, the threats and the strife...we are all humans on this planet earth with the need to raise our families and make a living. It begins with all od us...me...then you...then the next guy...shall we respect and recognize or threat and annihilate?
4. Everybody want changes in Iran
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (11.05.12)
except the well paid members of secret police, state functionairs, and high ranking military officers. The problem is that the weapons are in their hands. Excactly like in nazi Germany.
5. #1.Lot of truth in what you say

The younger generation in Iran is LIGHT YEARS apart from the thinking of the Ayatollahs Much of the younger generation and the middle classes have found ways to circumvent the choking excesses of Shia Islam and its fanatical rules...and most are flabbergasted and embarassed by whats happening both to their economy and Irans standing in the world And more and more even of the religious and revolutionary are distancing themselves from the Regime and what it stands for Lets hope that this younger Iranian generation will take ownership of their futures and allow Iran to develop into a strong and prosperous nation which we can all respect and embrace

I FULLY AGREE WITH YOUR TALKBACKS. I HOPE THAT EVERY STILL EXISTING DICTATORSHIP SOON WILL BELONG TO THE PAST AND THAT THE ENTIRE MANKIND WILL BE ABLE TO LIVE IN FREEDOM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
7. In your dreams, maybe
Beauchard ,   Amsterdam   (11.07.12)
There is one (ex) Iranian columnist in the Netherlands. She is secular and progressive. For her Israel is a national socialist state bent on grabbing Iran's oil. A non-Jewish friend of mine has secular Iranian refugees as colleagues. He was introduced into their community. What struck him was their intense hatred of Jews, who they blamed for all the world's ills. So is all this Iranian hate of Israel/Jews just so much propaganda and is the "common man" different? In your dreams, maybe. In practice hating Jews is one of the few things most Iranians agree about.
