1. That Statute of limitation (zaman asimi) is how AKP saved the bloody murderers of Madimak hotel and this is how they will let the Deniz Feneri suspects to walk free. Nothing to be proud of.
2. There has been state sanctioned attackes of Jews in Turkey. The 1935 Kirklareli and Edirne pogroms. The government knew about it. The military was right outside Kirklareli but did not intervene until the day before after many people were brutally attacked including a relative of mine stabbed in his face. Israel could not have acted because in 1935 there was no state of Israel, hence the importance of Israel.
3. Yes many Turks such as Selahattin Ulkumen did help Jews in Rhodes, Ambassador Kent (Coca Cola CEO Muhtar Kent's father) saved some in France. Jewish nation will forever be grateful to them. However do not forget that some other Turks in mobs were involved in Kirklareli pogroms. There was the Varlik Vergisi and 20 draft so called military service (actually labor camps in Yozgat and Afyon wher emy father served)
4. You do have the freedom of speech and expression here at an Israeli site. But journalist Mustafa Balbay is in Silivri prison for writing in a news paper in Turkey. I guess universal rights do not apply to AKP ruled Turkey.
