31. Silly. In '73 Israel acted even on Yom Kippur.

Aside from showing his ignorance, Kaniuk offers some full-on bashing of Shabbat observers here. He forgets how Jews - religious Jews too, with full support of their rabbis - went to war after the country was attacked on Yom Kippur. Those same religious Jews went into action, also on Shabbat, in the Defensive Shield operation after the Seder bombing in Netanya in 2002. As to the quality of the US response, we're seeing the same disorganized response after Sandy as we saw after Katrina. Bottled water was stuck in warehouses in Georgia and Maryland, while needed generators were sitting idle in Central Park. And among the emergency responders were teams from ... Israel Flying Aid.
32. 'Power & order'. You mean like when Katrina struck?

34. This article is just a collection of political ramblings
Vlad   (11.07.12)
It's really a parody of itself. We all know that in such a state of emergency, this kind of bureaucracy would not happen, and the government would take emergency control. Then, there is the fact that Israel is hardly ever hit by natural disasters. Yes, there were those wildfires, but America keeps suffering from floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, and the like.
35. Sandy is not as damaging as your anti-religious drool which
Patriotic Israeli ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (11.07.12)
no doubt many YNET readers will lap up!!!
36. IsraelAID rescures the world
Tova ,   Canada   (06.10.13)
when a storm hits Israel. Emergency task force will be very busy. People will be scattered. Chaos is everywhere. No government in Israel will be prepared. Israel has rescued so many, When the final days come to Israel No person will be ready. The US will not help Israel. America will be too worried about the Arab world.
