1. Who can correct this problem?
(11.08.12)
Any ideas?
2. Budget problems: Has anyone looked at the salaries of the st
Ed Stack ,   Jerusalem   (11.08.12)
Has anyone looked at the staff salaries and the costs of running this office? I have no information on this particular office. Salaries that I have seen for related offices are open to question. Maybe it is time to eliminate some staff and cut some budget expenses.
3. Maybe it is time ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.08.12)
.... to hand the illegal African emigrants that are a drain on Israel's social services budget over to the United Nations. Let the U.N. do its job. Perhaps it is also time to cut off the tens of thousands of metrics tons of free humanitarian aid to Gaza, paid for by the Israeli taxpayers. Let their Arab brethren pick up the tab, especially Hamas' brand-new best friend, Morsi. Why should Israel continue to pour millions of dollars in aid to a people who seek our destruction? It is the job of Israel to look after the Jewish people, particularly those who survived the horrors of the Holocaust and who contributed so much to building the State of Israel. Everyone else can take their place in line. Jews first.
4. Idea
Sarah ,   USA   (11.08.12)
What if, instead of relying on the government, we take it into our hands and set up donations to go to the organization and that way at least there will be something coming in, and it could help some. Tzedaka needs to reach all areas. I would be happy to donate
5. Are Hollocaust victims only good for PR? Sham

6. I will repost what I wrote in 2011..
Al   (11.08.12)
Israel has been ripping off the survivors from day 1. It started in the 50's and 60's. I should know as my late parents received them like clockwork from the Germans till they died. On the other hand my late Fathers sisters who stayed in Israel after he left for Canada in the 50's never ever got the reperations from the Germans directly but rather thru the Israeli Government. Of couse the Israeli government took their cut and we all know the rest of the story. Thus you have the shame of 1000's of very elderly survivors who have very very little in Israel today. Another fine example of the theft and graft oh so evident in the State. Today I say with every passing year, these surviviors are dying at an accelerated pace. In a very short period of time they will be very few of them left. Shame on you for not seeing that these people live the rest of their lives in dignity. For illegals crashing your borders, you have a soft heart. For those who did all to create and build the state you show contempt. SHAME ON YOU ALL!
7. Solution exists no will to grapple though
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (11.08.12)
anomalies and loopholes abound in Israel's systems. Lawyers make good money selling their knowledge of how to get round . On one hand, we have those expert at ripping off society through planning law loopholes, bribes, black economy, tax evasion, On the other hand, you have the weak and poor suffering injustice, because no one champions their cause as a right beyond charity In between, corrupt bureaucracy and over politicised government fall short policing laws full of loop holes.
8. No money for Holocaust Survivors but MK's get increase!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (11.08.12)
That is what our Government, politicians and the treasury stand for! Always money for the Haredim, the illegal settlements and those institutions that support the government. No money for those who came from the Concentration Camps, fought in the Wars and built the country. No money for hospitals in the North, social workers but plenty of cash to pay the Prosecution Service to make deals and the Judges to approve them and send people home who hit social workers in their courts! Welcome to Netanyahu's Israel!
9. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.08.12)
Why don't you take some of the bounty of your vast real estate holdings in Montreal (which you are so fond of telling us about) and put your money where your mouth is?
10. To 3 . The UN ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.08.12)
Does the UN help the 'refugees" who arrived in Italy ? Why should they then help Israel . It are NOT asylum seekers , so we have to care for them . The problem here is that we did'nt empeach them from entering the country . Tens of thousands of metric tons of free humanitarian aid ? Give your source please . Not such a source as this "holocaust museum" that told that 75 % of French Jews were deported , but was something of your invention , pauvre connasse [ worse than con ]
11. Our government would rather
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (11.08.12)
pay the Haredi to do nothing than provide medical treatment for Holocaust survivors. Why the surprise?
12. Survivor
Helene ,   Merkaz   (11.08.12)
As a child holocaust survivor, I was more respected in France than I will ever be in Israel. People like me become bitter and disapppointed with the country they so much wanted to believe in. We have no more illusions. This state will start distributing our money after the last one of us is gone. Labriout !!!
13. Money for
A Jersalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.08.12)
There is plenty of money available to raise all senior state workers salaries by thousands of shekels, but none for the survivors?!? Remember this on elections day people!
14. Serious accusations against
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (11.08.12)
the Claim Conference organisation in Hungary. The hungarian government alleges that the Conference stole millions of $s and did not pay the survivors. I see this claim is NOT BASELESS. Really a lot of money disappeared in their hands. Maybe it is behind the problems written in your article.
15. Israeli NGO
Testycal ,   Canada   (11.08.12)
the framework and structure of the organizations much like government is constructed to provide for their continued existence and ever increasing salaries, benefits etc for this inside while doling out small amounts to those they are supposed to assist....read the article on nfesh bnefesh from a few weeks ago on haaretz...if I am allowed to mention that
16. Make a promise, KEEP a promise, are they Jews in the Knesset
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.08.12)
17. What the hell?
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (11.08.12)
These people need the meager funds. PAY UP !!!! Your government is a disgrace to treat these holocaust victims with such abandon.
18. Ask Mitt Romney
Christine ,   Dacula   (11.11.12)
Perhaps the government of Israel would have money to help their Holocaust Survivors if they didn't spend so much trying to influence American politics?
19. holocaust survivors
Jan Lapter ,   Warszawa   (11.27.12)
