1. Israel, Egypt and Jordan
Avi ,   USA   (11.11.12)
Gaza will go to Egypt. The west bank will be divided in an Ameba like border between Jordan and Israel. That is the only solution left.
2. A rice grain for all the chinese...
NATAN ,   ISRAEL   (11.12.12)
Lets make this inclouding the Sinai Jordan and Lebanon we make 1 we divided in 3 and that's it...
3. all harta barta - nonsense
Yisraeli   (11.12.12)
as per usual everyone tries to come up with all sorts of hair brained schemes and none work. That has been proved time and time again for nearly 100 years. And why do you think that is so? Because when you try every which way to carve up Jewish Land and give it to their enemies, it just never seems to work. Including by foolish Jews themselves. Only when Jews will exercise their own sovreignity over their entire land will peace finally be possible. But anything just to avoid acknowledging its all Jewish Land of Israel and arabs live here at our 'pleasure', that can easily be removed.
4. HA Ha ha HA Ha ha, oh my goodness Can Someone Pintch

Not, LA, NO, Niet!
5. Peace?
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (11.12.12)
The entire arab world is in turmoil. An- archy and lawlessness reigns. Anybody who advocates a two state solution is out of his mind and an enemy of Israel!
6. PA using same old "good guys / bad guys trick"
mary_of_bethany ,   singapore   (11.12.12)
it's the same old mafia tricks, that the palestinians will "divide" themselves into "the good guys"(namely the PA) and "the bad guys" (namely hamas). then they will send the good guys to talks at UN to squeeze as much concessions and money as possible out of Europeons saying " oh, you must enpowered me $ to fight my own internal bad guys so that i can control hamas..." then PA continue to allow and send hamas to create more chaos non-stop, so that the "jewish problem" will never end,and they can continue to receive paycheck forever. as Israel give up more land, PA will ask more and land till E Jerusalem be given, using Hamas as the threat. till finally abbas PA will be shallowed up by hamas due to corruption and arab winter's wave. then Israel will find herself given up all the land to Abbas which end up in Hamas' hands. Israel will find herself having bethlehem and "west bank" controlled by hamas then. Israel should NOT TALK until hamas be wiped off by PA.
7. Corruption of Balfour & White Paper caused the Holocaust.

8. 3 state solution makes a lot of sense
daniella ,   usa   (11.12.12)
I think a 3 state solution is a very valid and logical approach to break the deadlock. Gaza and the West Bank are at different stage and a different process is required for each.
9. It's a trick! It's a Trap!
emanon ,   USA   (11.12.12)
By bringing Hamas into the equation, we're supposed to say "No Hamas. Give those other guys a state. Hamas does not deserve one". You see? It only further serves to fractionalize Israelis and trick them into legitimizing that other hated name. Say "No!" to both claims and say "Yes!" to one Israel. Regardless of whether one arab state or two is created, the end result will be the same: all arab lands will become a launching ground for more terror against Jews in Israel. Want proof? Look at Gaza. Land for peace? No such thing as far as the arabs are concerned.
10. Actually, it makes sense, in a way...
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (11.12.12)
Consider the Gaza Strip an independent state-- and the first rocket, mortar bomb or IED near the border fence is an act of war that demands an immediate response. Either Hamas will learn to control their "splinter groups" or the Gaza Strip will again become an "occupied territory", but with a difference: after all obvious Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc. members are "taken care of" [any way you want to define that], then the Gaza Strip goes to Egypt, whether they want it or not. The Egyptian government will not allow any terrorist remnants to practice their trade freely--Egypt cannot afford another war with Israel.
11. #1 - You are correct
Son Of Cyrus   (11.12.12)
Your analysis is spot on!
12. The Arab Right of Return
Zivron   (11.12.12)
The Arabs in the refugee sanctuaries have multiplied but most live low level conditions while the Arab oil sheiks are dripping with wealth So an enormous problem exists that cannot be remedied unless judaism open its gates to easy conversion an easier shabbat still a day of rest Basic Kashrut No Adultery thus no marriages for the secular and fusing judaism with utopian humanitarianism that means mission impossible.
13. Is that what all his studies have produced
tiki ,   belgium   (11.12.12)
The writer should go home and do some more 'rethinking. If that's the masterplan, here's another one. 1) Jordan was/is Palestine. It will include a few changes of JudeaSamaria next to the Jordanian border. 2) Gaza becomes Palestine II or will be taken over by Egypt. 3) Arabs must sign a peace accord with the State of Israel. Anything else is a waste of words.
14. rest of my masterplan!
tiki ,   belgium   (11.12.12)
"Rights of return will become return of Rights"! 800 000 Jewish fugitives - 800 000 Arab fugitives = O fugitives! It can be so simple. The only thing missing is the Arab will of implementation! It has been for the last decades.
15. To 1 & 11 What Offer to Egypt & Jordan
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (11.12.12)
You have what might seem to be a great plan to you. What incentives do you plan to offer Egypt and Jordan? Are you willing to open up the existing peace treaties to accommodate other things that Israel said , "no" to before? Will you accept the presence of Egyptian and Jordanian armed forces in numbers equivalent to what Israel currently has ion the West bank and what Israel had in Gaza before the Disengagement? Including tanks and Air Forces? Will you pay them to take over?
16. Paying "Palestinians" to leave is the solution.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.12.12)
Israel for Jews. "Palestinians" elsewhere. Paying "Palestinians" to leave is the solution. Most of them want to leave. For Israel, it's a one time investment with permanent returns.
17. That makes a lot of sense to me
Dana ,   USA   (11.12.12)
That makes a lot of sense to me
18. Unfeasible both defensively and politically.
SG ,   Teaneck   (11.12.12)
1. Israel must, for defensive purposes, retain control of the high ground above the Jordan Valley. Thus it can't part with any part of Judea & Samaria lying between the Israel and the Jordan River. 2. Egypt and Jordan are unstable (as are all Muslim states). Just look at Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, etc., etc.
19. Bi-national state
J0-Jo ,   Jerusalem   (11.12.12)
Try this: Everyone born in Gaza, Israel, W.Bank is born with Pal citizenship. they are given a visa until age 25. At age 18, Jews and Arabs begin chosing whether they want to go to the army and get Israeli citizenship. Pals pay higher taxes, get less benefits. Hareidim can be Pals. Israeli Ministry of Interior issues both Israeli and Pal ID cards and passports. The process starts with the Israeli army taking over Gaza and then handing it over to the Israeli police after a few months. It means hiring extra Israeli police officers to replace Hamas police. Pal borders are Gaza borders. Israel can deport Pals that do nasty stuff to Gaza. Pals serve jail time in Israeli jails with Israeli guards in Gaza.
20. Many Options Tested
zivron   (11.13.12)
There are many optiions including becoming the fifty first state of the USA which would also allow USA Jews to vote in the Israeli state and some return of Palestinians to villagrs within 25 kilometres of their abodeprior to 1882 where theycouldwork on olive andscitrus tree agriculture lands that their families would own .Nevertheless the Jews willl. have to control iron clad security and keep their right to bear arms.
21. Solutions
Marcel ,   San Jose, Costa Rica   (11.13.12)
There is no such thing as there being only "one" solution. Egypt doesn't want Gaza - it's as simple as that. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan still holds the responsibility for the Haram al-Sharif (taken care of operationally by the Waqf) but has no claim for the former West Bank of the Jordan. I can understand Israel's reluctance to come to some final agreement with the Palestinians as long as they are completely divided and disorganized. Also, as long as there are rockets flying into Israel from PNA or Hamas controlled territories there simply cannot be a lasting peace. Period.
22. West Bank is a success
Joseph ,   London UK   (11.13.12)
The West Bank has been a financial success and should be moving towards increased autonomy -- plus elections to make sure the leader is speaking for the electorate. Israel tried to give Gaza back to Egypt as part of the peace treaty, but Egypt refused to accept Gaza! Hamas are terrorists so how can we recognise them as a legitimate govt?
23. 3 states?
Zyx ,   US   (11.13.12)
1) The feudal dictator of Qatar did not bring $400 B but $400M. It is actually a pledge that does not even make up for the money he pledged in the past and never delivered. 2) This 3 state "solution" cannot stand. Fatah and Hamas are fundamentally in agreement on how to deal with Israel. They only disagree with the method. 3) Abbas' approach on the refugee's return is not a step forward. The palestinians have actually already given up on the refugee issue since Wye Plantation and Taba. Their so called "right of return" was not the reason why arafat turned down Clinton's peace plan. Today, this issue is a non issue. In talking about it, Abbas is just trying to add some bargaining power. 4) A Gaza state would a permanent threat to Israel. The only way out is to eradicate the hamas. Any recognition of the hamas would trigger a wave of islamic fanaticism across the arab world. It is a real Pandora box.
24. #1
Jonathan ,   MN/US   (11.15.12)
Jordan won't go for it unless the King falls, and, even if that happens, there will be probably be a lengthy civil war there before they have anything like a real government. After that, it's possible if the Palestinians win the civil war and otherwise impossible. Egypt has also repeatedly said that it won't go for this option. Moreover, the Palestinians have repeatedly rejected all suggestions of this option. So, on the whole, I would say it's incredibly unlikely, although it is definitely the solution Israel would prefer.
