These rabbis have a serious problem with women.
32. #30 Jabo, Then go to their countries, their websites.
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.13.12)
On this website "we" feel at home in Israel. If I wanted to comment about white meat at Safeway, I would write on Yahoo website right here in California, not for YnetNews ten thousand miles away. You make no sense with your comments out of place, out of time, and devoid of logic.
33. Modesty Rules
ik ,   USA   (11.13.12)
Why does the High Rabbinate court just rule that since most doctors are male that based on modesty reasons only men should have children?
34. Female kosher supervisors deemed 'immodest'
Chuck Hartholz ,   Jerusalem, ISRAEL   (11.13.12)
I continue to be baffled by the Chief Rabbinate, who would argue that women supervisors are deemed "immodest" when in the Diaspora women mashgichim are used by reputable kashrut organizations all the time with no such claims of immodesty. Meanwhile, kashrut organizations in Israel will only hire charedim to be kashrut supervisors, when many of them would never personally endorse or eat the very food they supervise. Why? Because it wouldn't be kosher enough for them(!!!).
35. #32 Michael -no need to go anyplace
BEN JABO (MIACHAL)   (11.13.12)
other than a medical website, the larvae will survive unless the meat is cooked thoroughly. Refrigeration won 't do anything but keep the meat cold Trichinella www.foodsafetywatch.com/public/810.cfm "However, the larvae may survive in raw cured meats and some Trichinella species larvae are not killed by freezing. Therefore lightly processed and frozen pork" I had to inform you, since you knew not6hing of the diseseased the pig carries
36. #34 Chuck - I hope that you won't mind

I understand that the larvae have a tendency to prefer the material in a person’s brain..Be careful, you don't have any to spare

Supervisors of Kosher products do not need to touch the product they need to observer processing or cooking and observance of kosher rules.

It's virtually impossible to supervise without contact Let's just say that a chicken is having it's throat cut, the schohet must hold the chicken when does the cutting In order to supervise, they must make physical contact, as far as I can determine, robots don't do the job My Saba was a Masgiach in a Kosher catering hall, people trusted him by his reputation, which also involved handling the food product, he wouldn't take anyone's word for the Kashruth, he had to see for himself

First of all times have changed. Secondly food products are no longer handled with bare hands, surgical gloves are required. Wake up to tyhe 21 century.

Sometime during the process the anmall is processed with bare hands, it's not a hospital atmosphere I am awake, you're in la la land Have you ever been to an Arab butcher shop, the carcasses are handing on hooks, sans refrigeration, covered with flies Are attempting to have me believe that the flies are wearing gloves? Better yet, go into a Kosher Butcher shop, I doubt if you will see any of the butchers wearing gloves as they handle the meat Or you can ue the PETA website, it will show how the animals are killed and handled Next time, try writing about something you have some knowledge of Go to any butcher shop, see if theyr'e wearing gloves or not
43. What a mashgiach does -- To No. 11 and others
TSB ,   Clifton NJ USA   (11.15.12)
The fact that No. 11 can compare a mashgiach to a religious woman running her own kitchen shows you have no clue what working as a masgiach entails. No one said women cannot be trusted to keep kosher. The issue is whether a masgiach job is consistent with the TOrah's dictates of modesty. A masgiach is like an overseer or inspector -- his job requires overseeing the work of others, who themselves often do not keep kosher, and making sure they are following the rules in their restaurant, factory or shop. It is a position of authority over others -- they break the rules, they lose their certificaiton. A proper hasgachah requires agressive oversight, and that is where the immodesty comes in.
