The aversion to pork on the part of Jews who aren't kosher has absolutely no basis in reality. In fact, pigs are actually very clean animals, and it's usually a lot safer to eat pork than chicken...which can be a more common breeding ground for salmonella than most other meats.
32. In my opinion
Thomas ,   Poland   (11.26.12)
It is impossible to obey all the Torah commandements. Some of the traditional holidays are the part of the culture and state altogether. People married according to the laws of Torah but they don't strictly obey Torah in their privete life (exception ortodox). The Hanukkiah, Shabbat, Rosh Hashana are the part of jewish jewish state and culture. Israel witout all jewish holidays wouldn't be Jewish state. If I'am wrong please correct me.
33. dont destroy !
jew ,   europe   (11.26.12)
civil marrieges = intermaryggies=non jewish children=non jewish nation=non jewish state= no Israel please all haters of chalacha dont destroy what even romans or hitler couldnt! Israel must be base on Torah. you dont like it ? there is whole world for you, you can choose. i am from Europe and i see it here, lot of people regret it later when is too late that kids are not anymore jewish there are fathers that want bris milah for they sons but for what?? there are not jews!! you should think before !

Obviously, you've eaten ham in the past if you know what it tastes like. Not only that, but I would suggest that if you thought it tasted like rotten meat...you were probably eating rotten meat.

37. Stupid Arguments
American Sabrah ,   Israel   (11.26.12)
So should Christmas and American holidays be banned in the USA because it may seem like religious imposition to those who don't celebrate it or those who are not US citizens? There is a difference between drawing the line between the separation of religion and State and outlawing religion all together. If you think countries are better off without religion, they ask those who formerly lived under communist Russia. If you want to live in a country void of religion where G-d doesn't exist so you can pursue your perverse sexual fantasies, you should consider looking into northern Europe. Israel, although not a theocracy, needs to have a Jewish identity as most countries around the globe do. If you don't like it, you can leave.Ask how the northern Europeans are fairing as their hometowns are being dominated by sexual perverts and Islamic fanatics as Christianity is presumably outlawed there.
38. 16 Taxpayer,forgive our flaws...

If i didn t fear G-D,i would say i am an atheist.
40. 38 Not 1st time u justify ur flaws by citing others flaws
Thinking Jew ,   World   (11.26.12)
Where in Tora do you find that? If you'd focus on fixing your flaws instead of glossing over them, justifying your flaws because seculars are flawed to you, might improve -- and BECOME more in harmony with Tora. Stop justifying your with that ridiculous, schoolyard argument.
41. 40 ... ?Jew Practice what you preach.

Just how do the Jews you are talking about , practice their faith? perhaps a Seder Plate with a pork rib for example instead of a lamb shank.
43. 40 Ur still doing it. No proof means u do leshon hara
Thinking Jew ,   World   (11.26.12)
44. "representative sample of Israel's adult Jewish population"
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (11.26.12)
So in other words, the survey excluded the 24% of Israel's non-Jewish population. I guess 1930's Germany and 1970's South Africa and 2012's Israel are the only nations that exclude significant portions of their population from surveys.
45. 43 If i did lashon hara,i am very sorry
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (11.26.12)
To your information, even with proof ,if done without a good cause it is lashon hara. I was attacked and defended myself. But may be you are right,i did not do it the halahic way.I am very sorry.
46. Kol ha-kavod, Ora -- good example for others to follow
Thinking Jew ,   World   (11.27.12)
I happen to be aware of the definition, including the halakhic definition, of lashon hara. Don't presume to be qualified to teach me. If others would be as circumspect and willing to examine themselves instead of constantly throwing rocks we'd see more progress.
47. # 37 i agree
jew ,   europe   (11.27.12)
and you forget italy when monogami doenst exist anymore, where slowly slowly to go to bed with man or woman or tranx doenst matter anymore.... justice: we are not so rightouss that we can make rules - law the desire(of mind or body) will win over the justice how it happened thought history.. there must be something that is non corrupted and this is Torah.

Move to Haifa...the buses run there on Shabbat.
50. To all religious Israelis
(11.28.12)
You are down to 55%, if your not careful & do something NOW, you will become the minority. Look what has happened to the US, G-d was removed from schools in the 60's & it's been a downhill slide ever since. Don't take this road, the results will be devastating.
