Be careful with what you and your people are wishing. Because it can happen all the way around.

Ever wonder what would happen to Egypt with no Aswan Dam? How about losing control of the Suez Canal? Think about it, because that WILL be the outcome of what you suggest. Never fear, however -- your precious Vatican -- the single wealthiest entity on the face of the earth -- can pick up the trillion dollar tab for the care and feeding of all those dead broke Egyptians, and fixing the flood damage. No sweat, right?
33. @6 Lose Sinai LMAO
Truther ,   UK   (11.15.12)
This isn't 1973, Egypt's military forces would trounce Israel if it ever dared entering the Sinai. Remember the 2006 war against a militia named Hezbollah, the IDF had to go full force and was still repelled from Lebanon. Egypt's military IS NOT Hezbollah nor are they Hamas they have hundreds of F-16 fighter jets, state of the art tanks and professional military force. If you think Israel can invade Egypt in 2012 then I'd suggest you call an ambulance ASAP before you hurt yourself or those around you.

Egypt, no doubt has one of the largest and best equipped armies next to Israel (Thanks to stupid Americans and Europeans who lacked the foresight to see that Mubarak's regime could not last). However, you must remember; that the political climate in Egypt in '73 was much different. 50% of Egypt did not vote for Morsi and do not want war with Israel. Egypt is falling apart internally...no jobs for the educated, major discrimination against the Copts, and lack of motivation in the military to fight. While I pray that war between Egypt and Israel wont happen......Egypt will not fare well in a war with anyone!

Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.15.12)
The bigger they are the harder they fall. Israel is always ready to teach Egypt another lesson. Nobody is going to trounce Israel. As has been pointed out before the Aswan dam makes Egypt very vulnerable. Egypt doesn't have very much going for it to begin with but go ahead and laugh. You will never have the last laugh.

Yawn. Did someone forget to tell you that Israel is a nuclear power? Bye-bye Egyptian F-16s. Bye-bye Egypt, come to think of it .....

Their common denominator was hate to Israel and support of Palestinians and when time came the Palestinians turned the back on them. The Palestinian problem is like a black hole that pulls all Arab leaders in.

When one party begins to use nuclear weapons/ultimate weapons in a conflict/war, it has to realise what the consequences could be. Maybe Iran also has already nuclear arms (in secret) and will use them too then. It is for sure that the islamic republic of Pakistan has a nuclear arsenal for example. Who knows about Al Quaida, to get weapons of mass-destruction and use them? So several countries are capable to use their nuclear weapons, if they wish. You cannot fight all the parties everywhere, always at the same time. If many/all nuclear weapons are used, it means the end of the entire worldpopulation/mankind/planet Earth. In that case there will be no winners/victors. So nothing will be accomplished by not a single party/individual. That is the fact/reality we all have to realise. The world/wars of nuclear weapons differs very much from wars/the world before 1945. Even a pre-emptive small scale nuclear war by one party can have great consequences worldwide and can escalate in a still larger war, whether we like it or not.
41. Morsi's being very short-sighted
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.16.12)
The United States considers Hamas to be a terrorist organization. The United States Congress can cut off all funding to Egypt in a heartbeat, because United States law prohibits aiding and abetting terrorists .... and those who support terror. And then Egypt will simply sink back into the sand, because no one will pick up the slack.
42. LOL LOL LOL
Truther ,   UK   (11.16.12)
@34 WOW lack of motivation in Egypt, Egypt's Tahrir square has been filled with protesters every single Friday since Mubarak fall last year, you mad bro? Morsi won around 52% of the votes while Shafiq won about 48% in the run off. MB won 47% of seats in Parliament while Salafis won 25% Also you think the military will sit still while Egypt is invaded LOL, nice trollin. @36 Your iron dome has so far only downed 90 out of 250 home made/ cheap end rockets fired by MILITIA Hamas in the hour. Now imagine if the Egyptian armed forces were firing state of the art missiles at Tel Aviv. @37 You really think Israel will USE its nuclear weapons? in an offensive war ?? What do you think countries like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, Qatar, Turkey will not get involved? Heck even Russia, US, China may get involved if Israel pulls out its nukes WW3. May I also add that Iran posses hundreds of Chemical/Bio weapons which they will be more than happy to try out on Israel should it make such a stupid move.
43. Morsi learn from Mubarak
Truther ,   UK   (11.16.12)
He sold cheap gas to Israel, sucked up to Israeli leaders, ignored the killing of Palestinians and is now rotting away in Torah prison where he may face execution at any moment, should he be retried.
44. To: No. 42
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.16.12)
1. Yes. I really do. 2. There are two "nuclear" clubs. The first club consists of those countries who have nuclear weapons. The second -- much, much smaller -- club consists of those countries who can DELIVER a nuclear weapon. Israel is a member of that much, much smaller club, and can deliver nuclear weapons from the air, from orbiting platforms in space, from land and from submarines. 3. The United States may get involved, and if they do it is a certainty that they will come in on the side of Israel; it is doubtful that China and Russia will get involved, period. 4. Israel has trashed Iran's key computer systems, and can "blind" Iran and completely subvert its antiquated radar system. But Iran will not launch against Israel, chiefly because they don't know the degree to which Israel has taken over their computer networks which control missile launches, and they cannot be certain that Israel will not turn an Iranian launch around and drop it on Teheran. The more likely scenario is that Iran will respond to any pre-emptive strike by Israel by attacking a United States asset -- most likely a naval vessel in the Gulf. And that will be the end of Iran.

Hope you know & can remember history. Same thing was said in 1956,1967, 1973. Remember what the president of Lebanon was saying and begging the world to force Israel for ceasefire, and he was crying on TV. Truther your turn will come in 20/25 years time when Islam will be majority. Good luck Europe and enjoy the future Islam rule in Europe

Israel and Jews disappear the whole world will disappear you have to understand this.
47. Are you kiddin me?
Truther ,   UK   (11.16.12)
If you think that an Israeli computer hacker will stop Iran, I'd suggest you don't hold your breath waiting for them. Iran's military is based on defending against any Israeli attack. Russia has made sure that Iran's system is up to date, they are fully aware of the threats Iran is faced with on a daily basis. Look at how much support Russia is giving to Assad, now imagine if Israel declared war on Iran, Putin may even send a Russian military crew to counter any attempts made by Israel to sabotage Iran's defense system Also If Israel nukes Egypt, every single Arab country will get involved just like during the last war as well as the Pakistani air force. Pakistan has enough nukes to demolish tiny Israel. And yes if this turns into WW3 Russia and China will certainly be there, more likely siding with Iran should Iran join the Arabs in their attack against Israel "after Egypt is nuked". I doubt a nuclear response will be supported by Washington either, besides Hezbollah once kicked the IDF out of Lebanon did Israel nuke Lebanon??????????? FAIL
48. US cuts aid = Morsi rips peace treaty
Truther ,   UK   (11.16.12)
The minute the US cuts Egyptian aid, the Muslim brotherhood will have no reason to keep the peace treaty with Israel. It will end up in the shredder before the US congress even finishes counting the votes.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.16.12)
Perhaps you should read the Treaty. You will discover that it stipulates that any unilateral abrogation by Egypt renders the Treaty null and void AND cedes the Sinai back to Israel. Talk about being on the horns of a dilemma .... poor old Morsi. The United States Congress will cut aid to Egypt because of its support for terrorism. So Egypt puffs up its bravado and "shreds" the Treaty. I always did love the Sinai. It will be SOOOO nice to have it back where it belongs. And this time -- Israel will keep it for good.
52. @49 +50
Truther ,   UK   (11.16.12)
"Have you ever seen the film of Samson & Delaila? History can be repeated." Do you remember the 2006 Lebanon war, if Israel failed to occupy Southern Lebanon from a militia like Hezbollah what makes you think they could occupy the Sinai from Egypt's military. "Russia will not send military to help Islam. They are not stupid to let the whole world to disappear because of Islam. " Russia will not send it's army to defends Islam, that's true. But they will defend Iran. Look at how they're defending Assad who is completely worthless to them right now, compared to Iran.
53. @51 Sinai belonges to Egypt regardless of camp david treaty
Truther ,   UK   (11.16.12)
Sinai has been part of Egypt for millenniums, the peace treaty was an agreement to return it. Israel did NOT SELL Sinai to Egypt, it handed it back. Like I said before if congress cuts aid, Morsi rips the camp David treaty. He would have no reason to keep it after the aid is gone. He would have ripped it up the moment he was sworn into office if it wasn't for the military aid. "always did love the Sinai. It will be SOOOO nice to have it back where it belongs. And this time -- Israel will keep it for good." A) Israel as well as Jerusalem once belonged to Egypt's new kingdom thousands of years ago. B) I'd like to see Israel enter Sinai and then get its ass kicked like when they tried to enter Southern Lebanon in 2006.

Cynthia ,   USA   (11.17.12)
Iran's military hasn't fought a war in nearly 25 years and they're no match for Israel. There's a reason they use proxies and Iran is clearly afraid of tiny Israel. The Russians also supported Syria prior to the Six Day Way and they ran away from their posts faster than the Syrians when Israel liberated the Golan Heights. It's about time Arab leaders stepped up to the plate and stopped using the Palestinians for their own agenda.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.18.12)
It wouldn't take a nuclear weapon, dear. A series of well-placed conventional weapons would do the trick. And don't think Israel doesn't know it, or hasn't considered it. Morsi had better learn to keep his mouth shut. He's already facing the loss of the Sinai, if he continues to allow terrorist elements to operate from within Sinai. Lip service is fine -- he can make as many meaningless utterances as he wishes. But he had better shut down terrorist operations using the Sinai as a base. If he cannot -- Israel will do it for him. At that point, all he needs to do is worry about the Aswan Dam. And the Suez Canal. Israel can shut down both in no time at all. What's more, Morsi knows it. It may offend his manhood and his so-called "religious" beliefs, but he knows it. Let's see what he does with that knowledge. I guess it all looks a little different from the other side of the Qu'ran.
58. What's "Truther" anyway?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.18.12)
Some illiterate Pakistani writing from the comforts of Londonistan? Truther is obviously uneducated. Depends a great deal on internet slang. "LOL" features large in his "contributions." There is no such word as "truther." Go back to kindergarten; start over.
59. To: No. 47
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.18.12)
Pakistan has nuclear weapons. What it lacks is a delivery system. That is considerably more difficult to achieve. Israel has both. What was that you were saying? You had better hope that Israel doesn't get annoyed with Pakistan. We'll flick you aside like a gnat. We have no shortage of friends in India that will give us all the refueling rights we may wish. Do keep that in mind. A lot of countries are not happy with Pakistan, what with Pakistan unable to control the Taliban or the flow of heroin out of Afghanistan. Not to mention the fact that Pakistan harbored Osama bin Laden for over a decade. No, Pakistan is a fat, sitting duck. It will watch its step, or it will cease to exist. Do you understand, Paki-boy?
60. Well, well, well
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.19.12)
"Egypt, watch what you do and how you do it," said Sen. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press." `'You're teetering with the Congress on having your aid cut off if you keep inciting violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians." Eeny, meeny, miny mo .... Egypt without American aid sinks back into the sands of the desert. You've been warned, Morsi. By the way -- Morsi's pathetic attempts at brokering a "cease-fire" (translation: giving ersatz "Palestinian" terrorists time and opportunity ti regroup) haven't fooled the United States Congress. It is, after all, the U.S. Congress that controls the purse strings. They can cut Egypt off without a penny. That prospect must have Morsi staining his trousers. No wonder he wears brown.
