1. pathetic
alex ,   turkey   (11.17.12)
such bans have the result of equating the Jewish side with the "other" side. deplorable...
2. Alex #1 right
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.17.12)
If it were Turkey - he would be in jail for the rest of his life instead.
3. Atlanta Jewish Community
Ex-Atlantan ,   NYC   (11.17.12)
The Atlanta Jewish Community has somehow never managed to come out of the Old South Jewish mentality of worrying about "not making waves". It is truly sad. "The People of the Book" becomes quite an ironic title in this case.
4. Beinart's Babble.
Astronaut ,   ME, USA   (11.17.12)
I Googled you,Beinart: You "keep kosher" and "attend Orthodox shul" while you bash the very Tribe of your origin. Nudnik.
5. Just because someone is a writer and a
jason white ,   afula, israel   (11.18.12)
professor does not make him or her right or even intelligent.

7. The right to be a Jew should not be given
Shlomo ,   Brazil   (11.18.12)
To those, even born in a Jewish family, who conspire against his own people.
8. AP is a US propaganda organ.
Miron ,   USA   (11.18.12)
Infamous for its Anti - Semitism. Scumbags should stay away from Israeli press.
9. Beinart is a fly
Steve ,   Miami, USA   (11.18.12)
He is a nobody in mainstream Jewish circles, and only supported by the far-leftists, mainly non-Jewish, as yet another voice to attack Israel. Ignore him. His book was roundly dismissed as facile and largely false.
10. Beinart
Brian ,   USA   (11.18.12)
" these conservative Jewish leaders, not the Palestinians, who are the primary obstacles to peace"... Is he serious? How is it the world conveniently ignores the many missles shot at Sderot and other cities? "The 200 seats allotted for his talk quickly sold out. " There is no shortage of people in this world (America is no exception) that want to deny Israel it's right to exist.
11. About Time!!!
Julie H ,   Studio City   (11.18.12)
Its time that we as jews stopped pandering to world pressure. The anti Israel Boycott is alive and well - its time we did some of our own boycotting especially when it is so offensive and self-destructive. Well done!!

We have always been a people of diverse opinions. We should never be afraid of hearing what is said by and within Am Yisroel, whether its from a vegan LGBT Havurah or Satmar shul. We are a people of ideas. These ideas have changed the world. If those ideas gain traction, or not, it should be because of the value of what is said or not said. I am not afraid of listening to someone or something I disagree with. I am confident in my own knowledge of history, culture, philosophy, current events, faith, and ritual, that I don't feel threatened. Nor do I feel that shouting down or shutting out a fellow member of the tribe should be acceptable to any of us. I know that it is more a shanda for the goyim for us to censor ourselves within our own community like kappos, then it is to speak discordantly within and without Am Yisroel. Alechem Shalom lanzman
