62. #11 - Wake Up
Tzvi ,   Toronto, Ontario   (11.16.12)
Brad, over 700 rockets this year. Have you been asleep all year? Did you not hear about these? Of course not, if you only watch Al Jazera you would not know about Hamas firing rockets with no response by Israel.
63. #11- you mean it "official began on nov. 14" in your head
William ,   Israel   (11.16.12)
For the rest of us, it began weeks before with the continued barrage of RPGs and rockets on Israeli civilians despite repeated warnings to stop.
64. To # 11 Brad
Ralf ,   Paris   (11.16.12)
It looks like you just missed the first part of the movie.
65. "New" normal
ik4sp ,   US   (11.16.12)
Putin probably cinsidering normal for Israeli civilians to be under constant rocket attacs.
66. range and fronteers
paulo ,   brazil   (11.16.12)
The wider the missile range, the wider the fronteer. Back to the 1967 lines?
67. #56 palestine & Israel are not in any holly book

You should know if you read holly books from Torah to Quran that god mentioned the whole earth,,, r u ok with that USA, France, uk,..,.,,, were never mentioned in any book from god,,, should we take them down also Stop occupation and act based on rational thinking Arabs rejected peace as u said before and they lost wars and lost whole palestine Now Israel is rejecting peace and losing a war after war..,, and will vanish for sure based on the same logic Wake up Israelis
68. re: 11
Eric Murphy ,   New York, USA   (11.16.12)
Brad, between 5 November and 13 November militants from Gaza fired OVER 150 rockets into Israel. The assasination occured on 14 November (as you correctly pointed out). So how exactly is this current "flareup" Israel's fault? Rockets kill people- would you recommend that they just let the rockets fall and kill their people???
69. re: 38
Eric Murphy ,   New York, USA   (11.16.12)
Paco - in your opinion what exactly should Netanyahu do? Between 5 and 13 November 150 rockets were fired into Israel. On 14 November Israel responded with a war that you call stupid. The "stupid" part may have been waiting 8 days to respond to an attack on his people...
70. To all commentators
Harold ,   USA   (11.16.12)
Brad # 11 comment is true but I add that this situation i.e. killing, rockets against each other and abusing each other continues for ever unless all occupied Palestinian lands are freed from occupation and the creation of the Palestian State.
71. Morsi & Putin
Oleg ,   USA   (11.16.12)
So Mubarak was bad and "arab spring?" is great democratic acievment. It is amazing how much dirt Obama's administration has created in such a short period of time in the world. Morsi is the same as hamas leaders, he is their twinbro. Stop give Egypt any financial aid. Let Egypt economy completely sucks. When they won't have anything to eat, they maybe start thinking. Until then they do not think at all. Putin is a little tsar, who robbed his own country. He actually dumped chechens and their blood is also on his hands. Now he is talking what Israel have to do. He is a liar, because he profits of this conflict. He makes money in arms deals and oil prices going up.
72. To # 11
Oleg ,   USA   (11.16.12)
You reminds me a bear waking up in spring. How long have you been asleep it is not even winter?
73. Morsi be like Nasser don't be like Sadat or Mubarak
Truther ,   UK   (11.16.12)
Gamel Abdel Nasser was the only Egyptian President who met a peaceful /happy end. You know why? Because he stood up to Zionist aggression unlike Sadat who signed a peace treaty with the devils and was assassinated for it. Mubarak on the other hand is is slowly rotting away in an Egyptian jail.
74. To the pathetic #73 non-truther!
Mina ,   Haifa, Israel   (11.16.12)
Gamel Abdel Nasser and his army full of clowns were defeated by Israel in six days during the Six Days war, when Israel was attacked by him and several other Arab countries. Israel defeated them all! Nasser's soldiers (who were supposedly trained by him) ran away in fear, leaving their shoes in the desert...are these headless chickens your role models? Make an effort to improve and start looking up to the Israeli soldiers who are ethical, brave and will do anything to defend their country.
75. God punished the Egyptians many years ago...again?
(11.16.12)
This may be the case, but instead of raining frogs and lice, they will see raining F-16 bombs.
76. The recent launching of a rocket
Mira ,   Vienna   (11.16.12)
from Sinai Israel should take as a declaration of war from Egypt, condsidering his support speech for Hamas!
77. Egypt's warning to Israel
Rod Gillis ,   Glace Bay, Canada   (11.16.12)
Go ahead Morsi, give the Israeli's your best shot ! You will get clobbered just as bad or worse than you did during the last war. If you assist / abet a terrorist organization (Hamas), then you are no better yourself.
78. Israel didn't start this...
Bri ,   Canada   (11.16.12)
Israel began their targeted attacks and assasination of Ahmed Jabari because of all of the rockets it was receiving from Gaza. Israel has the right to a secure nation. This seems to be a last resort. I also suspect that they are going to try to secure Gaza before Iran tries to coordinate an attack. I suspect Iran is speeding up its nuclear program in light of this new battle.
79. I will exersize Morsi's word..to mirror Israel.
Beary White ,   Norway   (11.16.12)
As ANY leader of Israel would say: 'If I see the homeland in danger, I won't hesitate to take unusual steps, and vowe to stop this brutal rockets from Gaza. Netanyahu must sharpen his tone against hamasss.. Netanyahu has the the power to uproot the aggressiveness just like it uprooted exploitation. "I don't want to take unusual steps," according to Netanyahu "but if I see that the homeland is in danger, I won't hesitate." And these words can perfectly be spoken by ANY israeli leader.
80. #11
anon ,   zichron   (11.16.12)
Wrong! It started with Hamas shooting an anti-tank missile into an Israeli jeep killing 2 soldiers. A jeep across the border from Gaza inside Israel. Hamas is the one looking for a fight.
81. Morsi's Public Diplomacy as War Preparation
David E. Firester ,   Middletown, NY U.S.A   (11.16.12)
It seems that Morsi is taking the public diplomacy steps toward war preparations. He is aided by the almighty Supreme Leader Putin. I wonder how tough Morsi would be without Russian support. The U.S. needs to cut all aid to Egypt right now. Let Russia fill the vacuum. We'll just go back to the Cold War when things were simpler. The so-called Arab Spring has brought nothing good to the world; merely emboldening the Arab Muslims to feel a sense of support for their Jihadist aims. Hamas is strengthened with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Before Egypt fell to the Islamists, Hamas was better isolated. Now they have a regional power, Egypt, to back them. Egypt is in turn backed by a global power, Russia. To a large degree the U.S. is not helping to reduce this. We seriously need to reconsider aid to Egypt. Morsi is only a "moderate" when juxtaposed to his rival Salafist party.
82. don't trust fad #18, Egypt has too many Evangelicals
observer ,   Egypt   (11.16.12)
83. Morsi is hypocritical
Stormy ,   Knoxville TN   (11.16.12)
I have said this same thing in other posts, but here it goes again. A few months ago terrorists killed 16 Egyptian soldiers and what did Morsi do? He retaliated by killing terrorist cells. These terrorists in Gaza are intentionally aiming for Israeli civilian populated areas and some of these civilians have been injured and killed. As long as these terrorists continue their attacks, Israel has an obligation to protect their citizens just the same as any other country. What is it that you complainers expect for Israel to do, just sit back and do nothing but watch their citizens be attacked? If Gaza wants the attacks to stop then they need to get the terrorists to stop the attacks on Israel, but until then Israel will defend their nation.

Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.16.12)
The occupation of Egyptians of Israeli land calling themselves Palestinians needs to end. They have been offered a state several times and refused. It's not a state that they want, it's the destruction of Israel they want. It's never going to happen. Eventually they will get what they deserve and it isn't going to be a state.

87. Morsi warn Israel
Israeli ,   Ashdod,Israel   (11.16.12)
I am still scratching my head about the amount of money that was given to Morsi lately. More than 18 billion dolars by the European and the US, for what? Can someone explain it to me PLEASE. This guy who used to be wearing a galabeya made himself a president chosen by the terrorists, which makes him sheik manser (the head of the terror organization). I am still waiting for the answer by anymone. Thank you.
88.  73. Morsi be like Nasser don't be like Sadat or Mubarak
Nick ,   Den Haag Holland   (11.16.12)
You're talking out of your neck.
89. Are you serious?
Caroline ,   London   (11.16.12)
Israel is not starting a war But stopping rockets on its town. The assassination was a result of this continuous aggression. NOT the cause. Please open your eyes to the facts.
