4. Hamas is laughing
Rabbi Yakov Lazaros ,   USA   (11.16.12)
Israel refuses to attack the missles that are located in civilian areas. So Hamas keeps firing missles from schools, Mosques, and other populated areas. This is no way to win a war. Israel must destroy all the rocket launchers wherever they are.
5. One sentence about Jerusalem.

10. At #1, HOW is this article biased?
Alison ,   Haifa   (11.16.12)
It is simply reporting facts about an isolated incident. Get off your high horse.
11. Wouldn't it have been poetic justice....
William ,   Israel   (11.16.12)
if the rocket fired by Hamas over-shot Jerusalem and nailed Shuafat refugee camp??
12. I take it back, poetic justice would really be....
William ,   Israel   (11.16.12)
an Iranian-produced Fajr-5 fired by Hamas in Gaza and hitting the Dome of the Rock directly, destroying it.
13. you weak bastards
jimmy   (11.16.12)
jews never seem to change, weak bastards begging the world for the right to defend itself, fearful of morsi's every move. To hell with him. Chop the scum from gaza out. Retake philadelphi. Believe me, egypt would think twice about starting war since they got hammered before. And if they do so be it. And if it is war-destroy anything that moves.
14. To No.4: how to possibly achieve success.
Alan ,   Canada   (11.16.12)
According to a comment by a French journalist in Israel heard on the radio today, Hamas had prepared for the current rocket attacks on Israel by locating the launching sites underground in heavily populated areas. If this assessment is right, then destruction of the sites & killing of the operators will not be achieved by air power alone since Hamas is using civilians as human shields and the IDF cannot carpet bombing.. This may explain the israeli preparations for ground operations.
15. It is of some interest that as of this writing, the UN Human
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.16.12)
Rights Council has not found the time to condemn the nearly 2,000 rockets fired during the past 48 hours by the Islamists Hamas and IslamicJihad from behind the human shield of the civilian population of Gaza at the civilian population centers of Israel; a double violation of humanitarian and international law. This is the same council, incidentally, that sent Goldstone, equipped with its conclusions prior to even know the evidence back in 2009. This is the face of the cynical United Nations and its various "humanitarian" agencies...!!
16. The world must act.
André ,   Berlin, Germany   (11.16.12)
I am shocked. An attack on Israel is an attack on all humanitarian and democratic values, the world must not allow terrorists be heard.
17. Jerusalem under attack
Shimshon ,   USA   (11.16.12)
I guess if a Hamas rocket hits the Dome of the Rock, the PA's will say that the Israeli's bombed it. Also, I guess Hamas doesn't care about Jerusalem arabs since they could become casualties as well.
18. Sure shows Muslim reverence for Jerusalem
Carl ,   USA   (11.16.12)
And this from an Islamist group that considers itself among the gatekeepers of Islam, not a secular Muslim. Sure puts a lie to their claim of Jerusalem as a Muslim holy city.
19. #9 You are nuts!
Carl ,   USA   (11.16.12)
Why in the world should Israel stoop to emulate terrorists in explicitly targeting civilians? It is unfortunate that Hamas uses them as human shields and some die, but Israel does the right thing to target only combatants and weapons with pin-point strikes. 500+ strikes with only 20 casualties, at least half of whom are terrorists, says a lot for the morality and skill of the IDF.
20. Negotions? Restraint?
John ,   Boise, ID USA   (11.16.12)
one rocket too many...drive the rats back and throw them into the sewer...hows that for negotiations and "peace" talks? Time to have a mass exodus from Gaza to Egypt, just for starters. Have a nice day on the beach in Gaza.
21. T.A. and Jlm hit = destroy all rocket sites/factories
bob k ,   orlando usa   (11.16.12)
By showing Israel that T.A. and Jlm can be hit and with Hizbollah in Lebanon able to target northern Israel the whole country is vulnerable. Backed by Iran and Egypt, both groups feel stronger. Israel will have to destroy every facility capable of making rockets, and evry storage site and laucnch site, also continuously target of tunnels. - Hopefully by air
22. clean up...
Chris ,   USA MO   (11.16.12)
Israel would do well to get an approximate location of a long-range launcher, then scour a 1-mile wide swath from the Israeli border to the ocean with carpet bombing - this can be repeated until the rockets stop. Of course drop leaflets 24 hours in advance to tell the civilians to leave the area. It will be okay because foreign governments will help them rebuild.
23. Al Quds isso Holy to them that they launch rockets against
Alan ,   SA   (11.16.12)
24. Here is the great opportunity
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (11.16.12)
to blast the illegal structures on the Mount Moria. Sorry to say an errant Hamas Grad missed its target. No problem insurance company will pay to the PA for damages.
25. #10
Raquel squelch ,   uk   (11.16.12)
He's not on a high horse! He's just slimed out from under a self righteous rock. Ignore him and he will slime right back under it.
26. It's funny how people generally snob Haifa
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (11.16.12)
meanwhile, one of the safest place in Israel !
27. Oh, well....
Gabe ,   Canada   (11.16.12)
There goes the Dome of the Rock.
28. re #10 and #1
nigel ,   London   (11.16.12)
funny his surname and where he talks out of are the same
29. what if Hamas rocket struck the Dome of the Rock
observer ,   Egypt   (11.16.12)
it's the duty of the occupier to defend the occupied. No single world country recognizes Jerusalem as not occupied.
30. how come?
observer   (11.16.12)
Israel made the iron dome to intercept short range rockets. So by default, Israel's defense system must have been able to intercept medium and long range rockets, which was not the case.
