1. Ground offensive sits idle
Betty Burp ,   USA   (11.17.12)
And here sits the Ground Offensive on the border of Israel, waiting to be stood down by the US. And consequently, Israel is the criminal in this as usual. And consequently, hamas will be permitted to fire missiles into Israel on a constant basis. Totally pathetic!
2. suffer panic attacks
Jared ,   Stillwater   (11.17.12)
Compare Israelis panic attacks to Palestinians panic attack. How would the Israelis deal with the sounds of F-16 and 1000 Ib boms.
3. Pillar of cloud not pillar of defense
Notiqui   (11.17.12)
All the empty tunnels have been bombed and re-bombed - but the two million terror Arabs are still there - hale and healthy! What a waste of treasure - and now the waste of blood is coming up for another useless ground op. Barak could win by air if he wanted to - but he doesn't want to - he prefers not to hurt Arabs, because he has a soft heart toward them. However, he does not care about Jews/Israelis he is happy to send them all into shelters except 70,000 to be sacrificed/kidnapped/maimed/killed - all for no good reason...
4. Prood that Iron Dome is not a solution - only a band-aid
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (11.17.12)
Israel could have 100 Iron Domes & it wouldn't stop rockets from hitting cities. Hamas must be removed - period.

6. There is only one answer
Richard ,   USA   (11.17.12)
If Gaza fires on civilian targets Israel must respond in kind. That is the nature of warefare. It is what the allies did in WWII and what any other nation on earth would do in response to such attacks. If the occupants took direct hits they would soon stop supporting terrorists by some 80% of the popular vote, and if they did not stop, so be it - let them experience real warefare, not the police action nonsense that Israel now practices.
7. Govt is waiting for US okay?
James ,   Cape Town RSA   (11.17.12)
The longer the IDF waits to go in,the more missiles are going to fly in.The airforce can only do so much.Seems that the current leadership is in complete paralysis ( seems that they are the US vassals )waiting for US greenlight. The govt is doing the IDF and civilians no favours here.
8. This time it should be all the way as
DT ,   TA Israel   (11.17.12)
Lieberman says. Cast Lead we all knew was a failure except Olmert and Barak. If Barak gets his way it will be another Cast Lead and the same will happening again in a year or so.
9. @ Jared Stillwater, what's your point?
Mikey ,   SomeWhere OverHere   (11.17.12)
Are you trying to say that rocket attacks from Gaza are not dangerous because the ordinance is not as heavy? Tell that to the families of the three Israelis who were killed in Kiryat Malakhi last week by rockets from Gaza. The intent of Israel's F-16s and 1000 lb bombs in Gaza is to stop the firing of Hamas rockets at our citizens not to give people in Gaza panic attacks. What do you think the intent of Hamas's rockets are?
10. Think
Jack ,   USA   (11.17.12)
Despite the blockade by Israel and international community, Hamas is becoming stronger, despite the embargo on Iran, They are progressing with nuclear power. Igonrance and arrogance will be wiped out no matter what.
11. I'm wondering!
Billy ,   Burlington, Canada   (11.17.12)
It's interesting that Gazans are striving and they found the financing and materials to manufacture those toy rockets they're proud of!!! As Egyptian failed to do it, IDF should go in depth of Gaza in a limited millitary operation and destroy all the tunnels period!! This's the only way to hault the source of the terror for good!! Then even if the blockade will be lifted from the Egyptian side, every party will be accountable! So we would know that terror sources are coming directly from Egyptians under the eyes of he Egyptian government. I feel so sorry for the casualities from both sides. But we have to remarkably notice that more than 300 intense air stikes from IDF resulted in a minimuim Palestinian civillian casualities!!! Israelies are defending themselves with heart!! No one seems to understand!! Soliderity all the way and all the best.
12. @4 three merkavs is not a solution, either. 33 is a differen
Miron ,   USA   (11.17.12)
different story. Answer me, guy from Ramat Gun, why is degenerate who defunded and blocked building Iron Dome batteries is in office? Or even alive.

Suomipoika ,   Finland   (11.17.12)
Good point. These people ( like Jared) do not recognize good from bad, right from wrong, self-defence from aggression. All is same or upside down, bad is good, wrong is right, self-defence is aggression.
14. @4 it's not a rhethorical question
Miron ,   USA   (11.17.12)
Israel right now spend 0.5 billion NIS / day for supporting soldiers and hardware. These funds are sufficient to a. built enough Iron Dome batteries to suppress current Gaza rocket capabilities completely in 2 weeks b. sustain rocket suppression and let Sderot sleep like a baby to hunt down rocketeers in Gaza with UAV's in the months to come. The mind and heart of Israel is in hybernation. And unless degenerate in PM office removed fast things will turn to worse. The issue is people who are under rockets are failing to make their case and cowering at the thought that they will march in the footsteps of Gush Katiff. While those who have means, cool heads, and capabilities to chart correct course are not motivated by Israelis to act.
