Before sending in our precious IDF ground forces, simply bomb every centimeter of Gaza till it is dust. Wipe-out Hamas and its ilk, and if you are in the way, too bad! Time to apply your rules, to our tactics. When it is all dust, then we come in, and the land is returned to its rightful owner, Israel.

A truce now would be a clear victory for Hamas. The bombing can weaken the enemy but troops on the ground will be needed to finish the job.

Bomb Gaza by air , sea, etc. until little of their assets are left. Then ask for a cease fire. If they don't agree to a cease fire - bomb them some more to drive the message home. No need to use ground troops and risk IDF casualties - yet!!

We the people are tired of wars, our dollars being wasted on drones and military that kill and maim people around the world. Not in my name. How many of those people already killed , were murdered by USA WEAPONS? Time to take care of our own country and leave them to destroy each other without my dollars being wasted. Urban warfare in such a crowded area gives far too much advantage to the terrorists, and there will be losses to Tzahal. Better to notify the residents of the impending attack and that if they choose to stay, their wounding or death is their own problem. It should be done on TV, radio and by leaflet from planes. The major media should be prepped ahead of time and shown the warnings. Then I would hope the armor would be turned loose after heavy artillery barrage, and lastly, the infantry.

Splinter groups don't listen to Hamas; there is no individual leader in control of all the weapons. The missiles will not stop until one entity has control, and that entity agrees to make a lasting peace. This will never happen. Carpet bombing is easier than going in, but Israeli commanders want to spare enemy lives by going in. What kind of army does this? An army with Jewish values.
