The conflict is not in the West Bank but in Gaza, from which Israel completely withdrew seven years ago. Whilst this loss of life is unfortunate, this is war and there was bound to be collateral damage eventually. There will probably be more. Unlike Hamas, the IDF does not deliberately target civilians, so there has been an error, but as I say it's war. Hamas knows what it needs to do for the attacks to cease, stop sending rockets over. Only when their Iranian paymasters say so, will they stop though, so we could be in for a long bloody conflict.

If you hang around Hamas, you will get bombed. It has been 3 days since the IDF bombed them with leaflets telling them to leave. They would be rejoicing, like they did on 9/11 if some of their rockets killed Israeli civilians, so it goes both ways when collateral damage is exacted during war. Maybe the Palestinian's will get tired of being in the middle and get rid of the terrorists, but I doubt it.

War kills people. And that gives us the right to kill Children & Women and invalids and those in hospitals, and those that can't defend themselves. Everyone's fair game. There might have been a military legitimacy for this target or bad intel. But no one in Israel justifies the killing of innocents and their hearts ache for this action. Mike You need to read up on the Blitz, the bombing of Dresden, Coventry among other cities. WW2 was total war which meant civilian casualties become secondary to winning. Israel is being very restrained and is merely knocking out threats. To not support them is to support continual rocket launches against Israeli civilians. Israel is more effective and is doing what a nation state is expected to do in these circumstances - protect its civilians. When Palestinians do the same they will be worthy of their own state. I'm not holding my breath.
