making him safer and soon it will be OK to go outside.
2. how can we help Ohad & family?

You may not get killed by a Hamas rocket; more likely that weight will kill you. Don't be a tubby like Imma. Lose the weight before it affects your whole life.

You are correct that weight is a killer. Your post is purely negative. Ohad is wheel chair bound. I could not discern from the article whether he also suffers from neurological/developmental issues as well, but he may. His mother is single. He is of a Mizrahi background. There are many many factors that likely have led to his weight issues. Your comment is callous and narrow in scope. My heart shattered when reading this article, and would do so whether I heard about this young man in war or in calm. You might be trying to help him but your words are not doing a good job of it. Most people are overweight for multifactorial reasons.
5. To Ohad
Devorah   (11.19.12)
Ohad, we are all so very proud of you for wanting to protect your mother and sister when you hear the sirens. Hashem hears your prayers for Tzahal, so keep praying, and keep that wonderful smile on your face.
6. This story broke me...IDF do your job
Al   (11.19.12)
I havn't heard from my two sons in almost a week. I know what parents of IDF soldiers are going through and I am 6000 miles away in Canada. Be strong Am Yisrael Every caring Jew in the world is praying for Israel. To the Jews of the golus..its time to put away your narrow selfish ways, pony up and help Israel thru donations and prayer.
7. some comments

First of all, was in tears from this. maybe someone could volunteer to take him out, even 2-3 times a week. One other thought... if he can "play basketball" or "ride his bike" then that does imply a reasonable amount of mobility. i know that basketball can be played from a wheelchair, but riding a bike? Also the article says "doesn't... ride his bike" implying *his* bike, i.e. the bike he owns and usually rides rather "can't ride a bike". or is that just ynets lousy translators?
8. agree with weight
extremist ,   germanya-westbank   (11.19.12)
If israel is going to use you in media to show how sad israeli life is in order to justify other children killing, you need to loose weight.. we cant use you like this to justify killing cute babys killed in gaza!

You idiot. Take your political complaints to an appropriate forum, and leave this family alone.
10. extremist germanya
Mae White   (11.19.12)
Agree you are an idiot. Israeli rocket fire raining down on innocent Israeli civilians over these past years is our justification for this operation. Apparently your hatred of Israel and your blind loyalty to the murderous Hamas leaders blinds you to real life. Get yourself some education please about the conflict before posting again.
11. Disabled Teen
