Its not "Israel's rules", it's about making them realize they act like barbaric, gypsy children!! They like to kill Jews, while profiting in Israel but scream like a small child when Israel sends 1 rocket to their 500 & then wonder why, after they've pulled this, the Gaza crossings are closed!!! It's high time for the Palis to grow up & become part of the civilized world!
32. #6 has it right
Ron ,   LA   (11.20.12)
The Rabbi is correct. What country at war supplies its murderers, tormentors and a country sworn to kill its citizens. Only Israel could come up with that one. This week long war is hardly a loss for Israel but getting hamas to heel will not happen until real damage is done.
33. Ground Op is the way to go - here's why:
David ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.20.12)
Hamas must be hit much harder to restore deterrence and not look weak, which is exactly how we are starting to look if we do not advance on the ground, and do so strongly. Exit strategies are either: 1) PA and Abbas come in, jumping at the chance to reclaim what they lost or 2) Israel withdraws leaving Hamas in a heavily degraded state with deterrence restored, after crushing them, and letting them know that if they violate the cease-fire again the same will happen. In any event, they must be much more seriously militarily degraded then they are now, before the upcoming confrontation with Iran. Bottom line, walking out of Gaza now shows weakness, and in the Middle east that weakness will be exploited. Re. external PR, more of the world is behind us now in the right of self-defense then it has been in quite a while, and our social media is much better. Sure, Israel will take a hit for a ground invasion, but so what, the world gets overs it quickly, and they feel the way they feel about Israel irregardless. Hit them hard and fast and then get out! Then they will actually remember why keeping the cease-fire is in their interest.
34. Victory is Within Israel's Grasp
Old Solly ,   New Jersey, USA   (11.20.12)
The answer is quite simple. Gaza has no right to Israel proper. The border is the border. Now is the opportunity to allow Gaza to join Egypt or become an independent entity (without Judea/Samaria), but permanent separation from Israel and the West Bank. Any violation of the border will be treated as an act of war. And by the way, no more food and electricity. You don't even need to negotiate. Endgame and checkmate.
35. Only One Way Out
Moshe ,   Givataim   (11.20.12)
Continue until they are begging for peace AND stop supporting them with water and electricity. Why dont we give them the Iron Dom? Or is this already next on our list? Because they are really thinking of us, so much that they are still sending missiles...... WAKE UP and ACT to the REALITY not to what you THINK should be
36. The way out
Annette   (11.20.12)
Look at America in Iraq, Vietnam. The way out being the hardest is a lesson that has certainly been learned already I'm sure.
37. steady as she goes
(11.20.12)
There have been notable successes . Its never going to be clean as Israel has to fight with one hand and one eye and one leg only. It needs to stick to its policy of targetting its leaddership and its infrastructure until the damage and the degredation of capability is reduced such that all sides have had enough and the major threat has been stopped of rockets being fired ever again in the long term. Although it may not look very clean it will have been accomplished. However it is likely that similar understandings will need to be forged with others. Regrettably that is the nature of the beast , destroying or sufficiently the enemies capability to build or engage weapons of mass destruction against Israels population.
38. TATA Edit Hen
Moragh   (11.20.12)
Now please go back to tending your chickens. We've heard your remarks. They go in one ear and out the other. TATA dearie
39. Obama
Cohen ,   Ashkelon   (11.20.12)
Obama hates Netanyahu as you all remember how he humiliated him over the last years; because of this he gave him the green light to get into the Gaza swamp to teach him a hard lesson and give him hard time getting out of it.
40. If you want to win Israel
TATA   (11.20.12)
walk out of Gaza with your head held high..... no more beastly arabs to annoy you. Take back Gaza and even rid the bodies of the pest arabs who are taking up space in the cemeteries. You can do it, Israel, and you know it. TATTY BYE.
41. THIRD OPTION available to break the circle
adam ,   Palestine   (11.20.12)
Everyone understood that only two moves could break the vicious circle: Occupying Gaza and keeping it under the control of IDF soldiers, or accepting Hamas. Netanyahu won't agree to either one of them. No, there is a THIRD option to break the circle > Liberating all of Palestine !
42. The only way to have VICTORY is to destroy Hamas completel
Sid ,   Israel   (11.20.12)
and retake Gaza. Anything less and you are just playing with your own head and lying to us.
43. Where does this lead?
Josh ,   Rishon Le Zion   (11.20.12)
It leads to more missiles reaching further and further into Israel. It leads to explosive warheads being replaced by "other" warhead types. It leads to more arab governments supporting and accepting the Hamas doctrine of the annihilation of the State is Israel, supplying offensive materials. We must not fall into the easy option of a ceasefire, this will just favour the rearming and resupply. Finish this now.
44.  Coward Barak
adam ,   Palestine   (11.20.12)
I am afraid you are wrong cousin. It is not coz Barak is coward. But look around you and see how things have changed. "Israel" is not the same as before as nothing stays the same! I am afraid your age is gone with the wind already and other ages should appear now.. !!!
45. How come that Gazans prefer Hamas?
Nora Tel Aviv   (11.20.12)
Gazans should be made aware that Hamas can not replace Israel., never. This indocrination must be stopped. Gazans sould be made to repace Hamas with the Palestinian Authority, elections or not.
46. Solution: what would America do in same situation?
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (11.20.12)
47. #41 wisdom
(11.20.12)
You are articulating the wisdom of Arafat and Hamas, unlike the corrupt Jewish leaders who lie about "peace" so they can make a profit for themselves. There is no room for two nations in Israel: either Israel wins, or the Arabs win and their will not be a single living Jew in the Middle East. As written in Article 7 of the Hamas Charter "The Day of Judgement will come only after the Muslims kill all the Jews" and in Article 13 "There is no solution but Jihad"
48. what is your solution?
charles   (11.20.12)
mr barnea, i'm sorry! you criticize netanyahu but u do not offer your own inteligent solution. everybody accepts hamas. they are the ones in charge of gaza. what we cannot accept is hamas attacking our country. you fail to realize that we relinquished this territory to arabs. what else was going to happen.? i
49. The only solution is to retake Gaza permanently.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.20.12)
Why would Israel ever want a cease fire with Hamas? That would do nothing but guarantee many more rockets. The only real solution is to retake Gaza permanently. ALL our Gaza problems are direct results of fleeing Gaza. Reverse the incredibly disastrous mistake. Drive Hamas to Egypt.
50. #44. "Palestine" is as fictional as Oz or Narnia.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.20.12)
Other ages are indeed appearing. It's becoming more obvious every day that "Palestine" is as fictional as Oz, Neverland or Narnia. That is the truth. Like it or not.
51. Unfortunately #47 is right
Thomas the Doubter ,   USA   (11.20.12)
His second paragraph I mean, either Israel wins and the Palestinian Arabs lose, or the Arabs win and Israel loses and that is the end. The Palestinians clearly realize this, why doesn't Israel?
52. REALITY for those advocating entering Gaza
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (11.21.12)
As the Americans learned the hard war in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, invasion only leads to lots of dead invaders and humiliating defeat. The more Gazans Israel kills, the more sworn enemies it creates, until the number of enemies is so large that Israel is crushed under their retaliation. Israel can NOT "win" in any sense of that word by brute force because that force will always be met with more force, until the IDF is overwhelmed and defeated. Why is it so hard for arrogant Israelis to understand this basic concept that has been well known since Sun Tzu wrote the "Art of War." Also, for those advocating the "destruction" of Hamas, exactly who do you think will replace Hamas? It will NOT be Fatah or any "moderate" but even more extremist leaders who will find "better" ways to kill Israelis. Israel is creating its demise.
53. #52. Israel could level Gaza in record time.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.22.12)
#52. You live in la la land. If Israel was truly determined to take over Gaza, it could be done like taking candy from a baby. Gaza could be levelled in record time, as the WW II Allies did to German cities under very similar circumstances.
