31. We have treaties with 3 arab countries. hamas doesnt want ..
BVrett Levitas ,   JHB South Africa   (11.20.12)
peace!! so when the other arab countries accuse us of not being able too, they conveniently forget this!! We know how to honour peace treaties!!
32. Sue Fuller from Gan Yavne
(11.20.12)
Hamas does not build bomb shelters for civilians because Israel does not target civilians. You could also ask, if the Gazans are starving like we always hear, how come they have money for so many weapons? They use the cement they get from Leftists to build bunkers and command centers. Then they use the millions in "humanitarian aid" they get from Europe and American taxpayers to shoot the good people of Gan Yavne.

You must absolutely never forget all the people that have died, young and old as a result of this conflict. And the best thing you can do for them is to work towards a better future so that this situation does not keep repeating itself. It is not about blaming the other side. We are all in this together. The situation in the south of Israel was unbearable for Israelis, and I don't know, perhaps with a more enlightened Israeli leader, a solution without violence could've been found. Sounds unlikely, given the Hamas charter vis a vis Israel, but who knows. Let's all stop this hatred together. We are all part of the same human race. There is more than enough land on earth for all of us.
34. Beersheba We are with you
Tim ,   Brighton   (11.20.12)
At some point soon...Israel will need to respond with even heavier targeted air and missile strikes including their factories and economic assets And by the way just where are the chief protagonists of Hamas? Like the class magicians they opened a Pandoras Box which they cant close back....So? completely disappeared from view, huddled safely underground counting their cash while the rest of Gaza crumbles Wonder what Gazans will make of this new legacy that Haniyeh and Zahar have presented to Gaza? And like a bad odour when this is over they will suddenly emerge from their burrows to claim yet another stunning and famous 'victory' that Gaza should be forever grateful? Hamas...you ony have to SPEAK to the people of Gaza to know that your days are numbered
35. money for bombs
brendan ,   belfield   (11.20.12)
WW2 rockets (which make up the vast majority of their arsenal) hardly cost millions unlike the sophisticated Israeli weapons. And maybe the reason that they cant build defences is because Israel will not allow building material into the area
36. Who started?
(11.20.12)
Palestinians started this conflict? I recommend that you need to read some history books first you ignorant
37. the whole world is afraid of "offending" Israel. !!!
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.20.12)
am not afraid :) Since Israel’s creation in 1948, its political and military leaders have repeatedly violated ceasefires -- usually to to provoke their opponents into carrying out acts of violence that it can then exploit politically or use to justify its o wn aggressions, which are already planned. "Operation Pillar of Justice" is just one more instance in a long series. On Nov. 12, Palestinian factions in Gaza agreed to a truce following several days of violence. On Nov. 14, Israel broke it -- assassinating a top government official in Gaza and starting "Operation Pillar of Justice." u have the dumb netenyahu to blame
38. Marco Spain
Leo ,   Australia   (11.20.12)
Hey Marco, guess what.....Israel is where most Israelis are from..of course some of us do trace our roots back to Spain but I suspect you wouldn't have us there either...you'd just tell us to go back to where we've come from...well guess what...this is our home and no one is leaving...Of course if you believe in the Palestinian cause so much you could always come and fight for it...Just let me know if you do, I will call Moshe
39. #16 Muayad
chaya ,   central holy land   (11.20.12)
what about the rockets your dear hamas fired into Israel ?? forgot those? you can complain about your children, but you idiots allow hamas to use them as shields, what's the wonder? it's really a pity you people are not educated enough to understand the problem tsk tsk tsk.
40. #25 If thats what you call courage, burro
A ,   Belgium   (11.20.12)
"Brave fighers"shooting rockets from civilian areas knowing that Israel is trying to minimalize civilian casualties, while "brave leaders" hide under hospitals and mosques or simply run away to another country, well maybe its time to pull your head out of your own a*s and see what lies you are being fed by your friends, the "palestinians". Better yet, leave your head where it is. You probably enjoy the view anyway.

42. @ Nr. 32
sue fuller ,   Gan Yavne   (11.20.12)
Dear 32, my question was rhetorical and I beleive I answered it myself. I am well aware of how Hamas uses their millions, being as I AM one of the good people in Gan Yavne and spend much of my life recently either running to or from a place of shelter. My point was to the posters who are continually blaming Israel for civiil casualties.
43. Its time to send these Gaza terrorist to their home, hell
John ,   NZ   (11.20.12)
44. the good old days
marco ,   pardes hana, israel   (11.20.12)
What happened to fighting wars the way they should be fought? If Israel were to do the job the way it needs to without having to think that 'world opinion' will come down hard on them. Seeing that the world doesn't give a rat's ass about the Jews/Israel there is nothing that should keep them from treating the Hamas to some of their own medicine. In any case next week some other news item will make headlines and the Gazans can sink into oblivion for all I care. Finish the job that needs to be done once and for all. Hamas fights dirty so show them that it can be done from both directions. PIGS!!
45. back down from a fight today, die tomorrow

47. @35 brendan
sue fuller ,   Gan Yave Israel   (11.20.12)
Please talk to the survivors of WW2 about the destructive properites of WW2 bombs, or better yet take a look at some history photos. What a naive response! Most Gazans would tell you (if they were not so terrified) of how many millions have dissapeared into the pockets of their "leaders". And as to the rest concerning Israel not supplying Gaza with Cement, they have an open border with Egypt you know and can get as much cement as they need. They also manage to smuggle their bombs through tunnels well enough, why not cement? Poorly thought out apologist opinions like yours are abundant in the press, instead of helping Gaza Citizens you are enabling the monsters who are not protecting them.
48. Gaza operation
e.ricci ,   L'Aquila (Italy)   (11.20.12)
Peace is the best thing to achive but how can Israel trust of terrorist ? In a way or in another They must end the work for the safety of southern citizens, now or never. Will Hamas be a democratic partner? Unfortunately i don't believe it.
49. get your facts straight.
Patti ,   US   (11.20.12)
You live in Palestine. You don't know. My daughter and grandchildren live outside the Strip. Gaza has never honored a ceasefire yet. Gaza is always firing at the Israeli south. Get your facts straight before you comment.
50. Has the mission been accomplished?
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (11.20.12)
How can Israel consider a ceasefire if Hamas still has this amount of firepower? The mission wouldn't have been achieved...just asking.
51. Reserve officer wounded in Eshkol
e.ricci ,   L'Aquila (Italy)   (11.20.12)
It's hard to trust in Hamas or brothermuslims, if Israel doesn't finish the work in one or two years will be at the same condition, they are terrorits not democratic association.
52. a message to BB & Barak
alfredo ,   philippines   (11.20.12)
do you remember the words of Gen. mordechai hod. " fly, pounce the enemy fight them to the finish and scatter them to the winds so that our people can live peace and security" and what is the secret.. 1. precise planning 2. operational skills 3. fighting spirit 4. first rate inteligence work
53. MISGUIDED MARCO
Ezekial Haim ,   LONDON UK   (11.20.12)
Dear Marco,Despite your misguided hatred,I love Spain and I often visit it.May be your hatred is really a manifestation of your own misery about aspects of your own life and other things. You sound like a seriously unhappy and angry person.Perhaps if Spain had a significant Jewish population,it would have been in a better place to manage its economic mess.Just inform yourself about your governments recent policies in befriending Israel to try and learn from Israel about stimulating enterprise to help the Spanish economy.Stop hating as hate will only destroy you sooner or later.
54. ROOT HUNTING
