2. garnered international support

when didn't Israel have that support?
3. For the South
Devorah   (11.22.12)
Netanyahu. Did you sleep well last night? And what about you, Barak? Did you dream of rainbows and marshmallows? Lieberman. Are you proud of yourself? I did not sleep at all. No. Because I fear for my life. Because I fear for my family. Because you made a deal with the devil at my expense. Never again. Jews running for their lives. Never again. Jews targeted for killing. Never again. Jews betrayed. Never again. Thank you Benjamin Ehud Avigdor. And thank you Shimon for Oslo. Never again. Cheap words.
4. What are the FULL terms?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.22.12)
5. A big problem with the Agreement's wording
Lenny ,   Berkeley   (11.22.12)
There is a huge problem for Israel. The peace agreement includes this wording: "Each party shall commit itself not to perform any acts that would breach this understanding. In case of any observations, Egypt as a sponsor of this understanding, shall be informed to follow up." Dr. Aaron Lerner of IMRA points out that under the terms of this agreement. "the only thing that Israel can do in response to attacks is to file a complaint with Egypt...If Israel is attacked it would still be a violation of the agreement for Israel to respond. By the same token, if Israel saw terrorists in the middle of launching attacks against Israel it would be a violation for Israel to try to stop the terrorists from attacking." This is remarkable. It means that Israel needs Egypt's permission to respond should it see a terrorist preparing an attack, or indeed if there is an attack from Gaza. In fact, not only is it remarkable, it's clearly absurd. Israel, it would seem, is in Egypt's hands.
6. hamas will find asolution
ha ,   haifa   (11.22.12)
they will attack next time with more developed weapons, they are developing cant you seeit morons!!!!
7. lets not be fools
(11.22.12)
time for us to call a stick a stick ! do we not all know that the goverment (as ALL israels goverments in the past) are not the ones deciding, they are there only to rubber stamp the white (black) house bibi did fold, but he is still the best option for the moment
8. Only in Israel
Avi Israeli ,   Modiin, Israel   (11.22.12)
Only in Israel will you find a Prime Minister that Talks like Churchill but acts like Chamberlain.
9. Now what we need to do is...
Ariel ,   Modi'in, Israel   (11.22.12)
Place batteries of missiles around Gaza which will, upon the detection of any missile exiting Gaza's airspace, automatically launch 10 missiles at their civilian population!!! If nothing comes out nothing will go in, period!! That is deterrence!
10. Israel became a laughingstock in the world
Dov   (11.22.12)
Since Ehud Barak became Defense Minister Israel became weak and vulnerable. The terrorists have nothing to fear and continue raining down their missiles without worry.
11. unlike the zionists, We do not surrender, we win, or die.
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.22.12)
12. IDF: Hamas will be shocked by level of damage in Gaza
observer ,   Egypt   (11.22.12)
if Hamas does, it means the damage caused by IDF raids didn't have the needed strategic impact. Success is measured by the strategic gains, not the extent of damage.
13. i am not home yet BUT
rachel ,   chutz4now, home B"H   (11.22.12)
i am agreeing with dvorah 10000 per cent! she has spoken the words of the nation...the govt. NEEDS to listen!
14. Why Did We Stop?
Moshe ,   Givataim   (11.22.12)
Following the "peace" agreement we should make it clear to this terrorists that whenever there will be 1 rocket getting out, we will send 1000 back until the strip is a flat area. No MERCY.
15. Excellent Devorah!
Israeli 2   (11.22.12)
16. Bibi tried to influence the US election.
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (11.22.12)
Seems that Obama will decide Israeli election. Netanyahu exaggerated importance of Israel for US. And now, he learns the real position of Israel. Annoying appendage
17. #12they lie to their own people
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.22.12)
18. Sellout
Hilton ,   South Africa   (11.22.12)
I am actually diallusioned with the current prime minister. He should resign. What a fiasco. Not to have the guts to once and for all destroy the threat. Shame on you bibi. He should be hanging his head in shame. only one thing for him to do resign. How weak!
19. #1 not that complex
(11.22.12)
What's the point of avoiding possible "massive bloodshed" of Hamas soldiers in order to guarantee that next time they will attack you harder, faster and more painfully until you are dead? And what about a simple solution: adopt the Levy report and liberate northern Gaza strip?
20. Avi from Modiin
(11.22.12)
Don't insult Chamberlain by comparing him to Bibi. Chamberlain sacrificed the Czechs, not the British.
21. When Hamas claimed victory ...
Josh ,   Rishon, Israel   (11.22.12)
... I thought it was the usual garbage they put about. Now I have the read text of the ceasefire agreement and see it was not! They did win. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. Did we run out of Iron Dome interceptors? This is the only explanation that makes any sense. They text I read suggests a Hamas supported suicide bomber in Tel Aviv would NOT be in violation of the agreement so long as he or she came from the west bank and not Gaza. Something shocking and shameful seems to have happened over this whole event. I can NEVER vote for Bibi after this but what "Leader" does Israel really have???
22. #14 Better yet
Dov   (11.22.12)
While Hamas replenishes their stock Israel should enhance their Iron Dome to have any incoming rocket make a 180 degree u-turn to where it came from. Believe you me, this would be the best deterrence.
23. # 11
John ,   Herzliya   (11.22.12)
Really? You didn't win and obviously you didn't die. So?
24. Well...
John ,   Herzliya   (11.22.12)
Israelis whose towns were barraged by rockets in latest round of hostilities receive news of ceasefire with disappointment; Well, I understand them completely. What's the purpose in starting a job and not finishing it? You just have to do it again. I predict that in three weeks there will be rockets coming from Gaza...
25. Bibi and Lieberman: We'll topple Hamas!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (11.22.12)
Yes, "toppled" but celebrating their "toppling"! Just watch SKYNews! According to last night's poll 70% of Israelis were against the ceasefire. So, the question is who will they vote for on February 22, 2013? My guess is they will vote for Likud-Beiteinu. This is due to the lack of leadership by the so-called Opposition, the destruction of Kadimah by Mofaz in accordance with Bibi's "Masterplan" and the Israeli gullibility to political BS! No Government has broken so many promises to so many people but still that 70% who oppose the appeasing of the USA by Netanyahu will restore the Bibi Empire until Lieberman topples Bibi! Et tu Yvette!
26. Notice that Hillary was only in the Me for a day
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (11.22.12)
I suspect that Bibi got a very, very bad message from the US that was similar to what the rest of the world was saying and realized he had gone over the line and had to pull back quick. In public, Obama may still say the AIPAC line in public, but in private he just may be a lot harder on Israel.
27. call this a cease-fire
yoel ,   Israel   (11.22.12)
Bibi has done it again! played into the hands of the terrorists, the south and center of Israel saw the worst of it and you made peace with terrorists- shame on you-or are you aiming to keep your job. blow the hell out of Hamas and take back Gaza that should have been your aim. you think they are not planning their next barrage of rockets?-
28. Truce in Gaza operation
e.ricci ,   L'Aquila (Italy)   (11.22.12)
Truce ... without peace is useless, the problem was not solved and i believe that soon they will start again to hit south israel. GOD bless you and protect you. Bibi this time was probabily too wise, i want to hope he had right.
29. Good outcome-Government Infrastructure destroyed
Jonny ,   Cape Town   (11.22.12)
The Government Infrastructure in Gaza has been destroyed, with a minimum loss of civilian life, opening the border to goods will mean the following 1 An economic boom for Israel paid for by the UN and of course, those Gulf states who have pledged money. 2 An end to the Hamas tunnel tax, which will deplete their resources. 3 An end to bleating from that narcissist Arch-Bishop Tutu, whose sole goal in life is his own self-importance. 4 Travel out of Gaza into Israel, would entail so much red tape, that it would be easy to monitor the comings and goings. 5 Payment for Electricity and water up front I hope, no pay no electricity. 6 All the bunny huggers can go freely into Gaza, and contribute as much as they want. Of course, those that are members of Tutu's boycott and disinvestment campaign may have to take all their own food with, as they may inadvertinantly land up buying something made in Israel.
30. The ceasefire
Rachel Diamond ,   Shedmot Mechola Isra   (11.22.12)
Because the ceasefire was made by the U.S., Egypt, and the U.N., if the Hamas breaks it ,they will be in trouble with them. Bibi did the right thing. Israel will keep its part of the deal, the Hamas won't -then all the world will be against them.
