Hamas rightfully claims victory. Hamas has been able to attack Israel without itself being destroyed, and even to gain concessions. The reason for that is that the US has once again intervened to prevent Israel from having a clear victory over the Muslims that attack it. Regardless of what it is called, that is what has really happened.

the real reason Israel was hesitant to enter Gaza was the massive loss of life they can expect as Gazan terrorists would again toss civilians infront of oncoming troops. It wasn't Hamas' terrorists who made Israel think twice nor was it the Iran's anti-tank weapons which the IDF already has an answer for. It was the blowback from Cast Lead and International Condemnation, despite intl silence this time around.

.. ask a simple question: Did the rockets coming from Gaza stopped? Yes indeed! So, the Gaza terrorists will NOT be able able to send anymore rockets to Israel. I think this clearly means that Israel has won as that was the very purpose of the operation! And if they start sending rockets again, this time IDF will SURELY invade and cleanup the Hamas and Islamic Jihad scum. Have no doubt about that!
