As an American Jew who supports Israel I don't like the idea that USA will guard the Philadelphi corridor. This area is very important for Israel's defense (Not USA defense0 therefore it must be defended by the Israeli forces. Remember when USA was in Lebanon to protect the pace in the 1980 ies? One a terrorist attack happened against the US troops we pulled out all our troop from there and the results were disaster that we still pay the price today in Lebanon. Israel must do its tough job herself. USA must understand the value of this ally surrounded by enemies and support in other ways.
