This whole article totally misses the point of the reason why they have not already teamed up. Livni wants to be PM one day which is why she former her own party to compete rather than join Labor or Lapid as their number 2. There can only be one PM and so if Shelly is Labor leader it means if she joins Livni will not be PM. If she forms a coalition between her new party & Labor as she has the bigger party Shelly will be the PM so why bother forming her own party at all? Livni is like Lapid, the best interest of the country is secondary importance priority is personal ambition. She has no expectations about winning much this time but she wants to build up an image that says I am PM material, develop her party and go into the next elections playing to win, 2013 is just is about getting a foot in the door.
