I looks at various resources, and total cost of anti-rocket defense until 2018 is about $10B. Which is relatively cheap considering how much could be destroyed.
1)Arrow III/Arrow II. IDF want 4 new batteries of Arrow III which about $3B plus modifications of Arrow II and 150 new Arrow II rockets + costs of joining all elements in one system. Cost $4B.
2)Iron Dome. 10 more Iron Dome systems + 20,000 missiles at $50K each. Iron Dome will be modified to shoot in all directions and in two opposite directions within few seconds. It will be capable to intercept all none-ballistic rockets with any range under 250-300 kilometers(the same way Arrow II does it by getting advanced warning). Cost with already invested $2B.
3)Magic Wand/David's Sling. 6 batteries needed + 1000/2000 missiles. 2 protect North/2 center/1 South/1 Natural gas platforms. Will be capable to shoot medium range rockets, but that will be used to protect only critical installations. Main goals to destroy Ballistic missiles, mostly short/medium range. Will ne last line of defense when Arrow/patriot fail to shoot long range ballistic missiles. After 2015 will be capable to shoot down aircrafts, UAVs and long range cruise missiles. Total cost $4B.
---------------------------
Yes $10B looks like a lot, but it will be spread over 5-6 years. Also systems have export potential.
