1. grossly violating the Oslo Accords it has announced it will
Volvi   (11.28.12)
how dumb can Israel get? Israel saying it will abide by Oslo agreement inspite of the PA grossly violating it. Israel should rather use the UN vote to cancel the Oslo accords in "total". Period full stop.
2. the rightist disappointed us
jan ,   tolate   (11.28.12)
i think the situation is deteriorating more and more we lost deterrance in gaza and in southern lebanon and now we are losing on the politcal side alaaaaaaaaaas
3. Israbluff
tiki ,   belgium   (11.28.12)
Talking much, doing little!
4. Wow what support!
Ken   (11.28.12)
"other than Israel itself, the US, Canada, Micronesia and Guatemala will vote against the bid" LOL!!! Remind me - 4 nations out of how many nations worldwide?
5. "settlements will stay in place" !!!
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.28.12)
It means we have something to fight for until total victory.
6. Another pyrrrhic victory for the Pals - woopty doo !!
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.28.12)
This is really going to help their cause, if you can call it that. (snicker, snicker)
7. "The Arabs", observed, astutely, the late Mr. Abba Eban,
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.28.12)
"have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity" for peace. They seem to be eager, very eager indeed, to prove Mr. Eban's observation correct, with nearly every move they make. This one is the latest such move that will only delay any accommodation of peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world, local and regional alike, and the liberal democratic and sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel.
8. #1 Agree.
Beary White ,   Norway   (11.28.12)
The relevanse of the oslo accord does not exist anymore. The pals have made many unilaterlateral moves and thereby violated the agreement.
10. #6
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (11.28.12)
It would be easier to send you back to Ukraine
11. Donkey brain Salma
(11.28.12)
Total victory to deport all Arabs out of our Jewish Holy Land Called ISRAEL, to your Holy land called Saudi Arabia in Arabia where Muslims belong. Jews for Israel, Judea & Samaria Arabs for Arabia very simple.
12. @ #1 and #8
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (11.28.12)
The Likud's shift to the right could not have come at a better time. It came late but late is better than never. Considering the number of my comments Ynet trashed, and all the anti Israel and anti-Semitic idiocies that they do let through, I check on occasion that it is really Ynet and not Ha'aretz.
13. Salma @ 5
Moragh   (11.28.12)
Dream on, honey, there's nothing like keeping your fingers crossed a nd praying to your god with all your might.
14. Salma, again we agree
Seth Greenberg ,   Ra'nana, Israel   (11.28.12)
You stated that as long as there are settlements there will still be something to fight about. We will continue fighting until the settlements are sovereign Israeli cities and towns. You are 100% correct. That is worth fighting for. Again, I'm glad to see you have started to think logically.
15. Big Mouthed Salma 5
Moragh   (11.28.12)
What do you mean "keep trying"? You have never stopped since the Palis came into Being! You and I will be dead and gone but the Palis will still be trying. It aint gonna happen, honey!
16. Salma Israel & the US will punish your people for this
zionist forever   (11.28.12)
Your little token victory at the UN will cost you American financial aid and Israel will punish you discreetly. Settlement increase More checkpoints Cut number of work permits Keep tax money Allow Israel Electric to cut you off because of unpaid bills Plenty of ways Israel can hurt the PA and ordinary Palestinians without the rest of the world noticing, That illegitimate president Abbas who was supposed to have held elections 2 -3 years ago is going to make your lot suffer for this,
17. #5 Right! Like keep blowing up buses and killing innocents
Epic failure ,   is to come   (11.28.12)
You would have already your state in 1948 if you didn't resort to your military agressions against Israel. You would have already your state in 1994, 1999 after Oslo Agreement, Taba etc., if you didnt't resort to terrorism against civilians too and had wiser political leader! NOW: You will not have anything for the next coming years if you resort to your polical terrorism and terrorism. You can have everything on paper, you can write that pigs can fly, earth is flat or whatever. the fact is the truth. Respect agreement, negotiate stable borders and we will have a Palestine state and Israel that live togetther. You are turning all israelis against you at the moment. Not a smart move. You could like it or not , the fact is the fact: Israelis will ultimately vote and have lots on influence on your future. Turning a blind eye on that will reveal as destructive as it used to be for your people.
18. World jew haters
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (11.28.12)
will be happy, having a new argument to incite against Israel. Not new UN rules but new israeli laws are needed, urgently.
19. The Other Shoe
Old Solly ,   New Jersey, USA   (11.28.12)
Israel is playing this smart, acting discreetly for now. Cancellation of the Oslo Accords opens the door to separation of Gaza from the West Bank. When the time is right, Israel can simply annex the West Bank and leave Gaza to Egypt and the rest of the world. Checkmate
20. They won't be citing Ramallah as capital
Israeili Jew ,   Israel   (11.28.12)
How will this affect the status of Jerusalem as the undivided capital of a Jewish State of Israel? Why is no one mentioning the elephant in the room?
21. In democratic states, tell your FM not to upgrade PA
Jouni Suonsivu ,   Finland   (11.28.12)
As a Finnish citizen I wrote to our FM, Mr. Erkki Tuomioja (Erkki.Tuomioja@formin.fi) and urged him not to change univocally PA position. The same e-mail was sent as bcc to tens of people and they'll understand to act themselves. I wish as many as possible would do the same in their countries. Israel, you are not alone though things might seem like that.
22. does this place have no censorship ?!
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.28.12)
jews watch your mouths , I dont like to use "street language". i dont know it. #11 donkey has NO brain !! your ignorance is showing.
23. # 22 Salma/Israel
Don ,   EU   (11.28.12)
"does this place have no censorship?!" Apparently no since the trash you produce in masses is published. Simple as that.
24. # 11
Don ,   EU   (11.28.12)
Fully agree. In addition, Arabs out of Berber states in North Africa, Arabs out of Kurdistan, Arabs out of Aramean lands. Arabs back to Arabia. No need for pan-Arabism.
25. Israel's deliberate own-goals
Cheeky   (11.28.12)
2006 - deliberately loses 2nd Lebanon war Cast Lead - deliberately leaves infrastructure in place for more rockets to be imported 2012 Gaza op - deliberately loses 2012 - doesn't have the will to contest fake-e-stinians UN membership bid In short: Israel is deliberately weak, refuses to defend her own citizens, elite non-leadership hobnobbing with goyim, seeking to please them.
26. Since Israel ...
Uri ,   Siberia   (11.28.12)
... has also renegated on its commitments from the Oslo accords, there is no reason why the PA should stick to it. In any case, I can't think of any good reason why this would be a bad thing? is it because Israel is worried that the PA will then have access to the International Court of Justice? .. surely not .. as Israel maintains, it never breaks any international laws .... and is the most moral army country in the World, and (as Sarah often says) has the strongest army in the World and could beat everybody up if they wanted to .. (LOL)
27. #16 dare do it
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.28.12)
and then abu mazen will give you the key of the west bank .
28. Israel's times are over
Gregg ,   Haïfa Il   (11.28.12)
Being above the laws is over
29. #28 Gregg IS MY HERO :)
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.28.12)
30. 16 and why Israel would want to hurt the Palestinians?
Gregg   (11.28.12)
That's what Israel been doing of the past 70 years
